This weekend found us getting what was probably our real second snowfall of the season. This snow fall we lucked out from the blizzard that hit many of the major cities on the East Coast and along upward into the Northeast. Nothing like dear Rade, or Pearly Gates in Ptown got hit with. Even poor Agnes near Rehoboth Beach got slammed with 22"! I ended up with a smidge over 5" here. The first few pictures were actually taken at around 11:30pm, so I was shocked to see how light the pictures turned out from it being so bright out with the snow fall. There is no denying though, a fresh fallen snow before being disturbed looks so pretty. And the next morning, it was super bright out....and the snow was a real tree hugger snow. A beautiful sight. I also captured a few snaps on my way to my appointments, from Main Street.

Sophie is no fool!
ReplyDeleteI'm with sophie! I love to see the snow but am terrified of breaking a bone these days. Beautiful photographs. Thank you. X
ReplyDeleteI was one of the prettiest snows in some time! It's all but almost gone already Christina.
DeleteThose are some of the most stunning snow pictures I've seen in some time! Enjoyed the pictures. That is a "tree hugger" snow. I also love your shed. I spied a candle in the window, did I not?
ReplyDeleteWoke up this morning to no new snow. Other are areas of the region got another inch or so. It was nice... comforting, almost to Covid-19 lock-down peaceful; it felt like for a day the whole planet was off-line. But back at it today.
ReplyDeleteBreathtaking. I love the silenced world under a fresh blanket of snow.
ReplyDelete5 inches, 22 inches- that could be hard to deal with. Stay warm and enjoy.
ReplyDeleteThat snow truly was pretty, and now, thanks to the warming temps, it's pretty nearly gone.
ReplyDeleteWe were hovering very close to 80-degrees for a few days last week!
ReplyDeleteBut I do love the quiet calm of the days after a snowfall.
80?!?!?!?!??!
DeleteI like looking out of the window at virgin snow, but walking and driving in it...not so much.
ReplyDeleteGetting slammed with 22" must have hurt. Anyway, I'm glad to see you're still doing well over there.
ReplyDeleteI can take getting slammed! But we were lucky here in this part of PA...only about 5". But poor Rade, Pearly and Agnes and others got 15" and upwards! That a yikes moment. Philly even had around 15-18" I heard.
DeleteA friend lives about 45 min south of Rehoboth...he got hit with 14" and was still counting....
ReplyDeleteIt's is all so pretty before it's disturbed. And being able to see it in pictures is enough for me. LOL
I had 14" once and was in traction. I do like a virgin snow, but once it gets ugly time to melt. Our snow we got here is all but gone already.
DeleteWinter wonderland :)
ReplyDeleteI love when the snow settles as seen in your photos. We can get some bad winters in Philadelphia, at least we don’t get the severe ice storms and snow drifts like they have in Buffalo NY or the Great Lakes.
Pan in Wynnewood
Rade above showed some of his snow drifts on his blog!!!!! YIKES! He got A LOT!
DeleteLoverly!
ReplyDeleteJust as we're celebrating the most gorgeous Spring-like weather, too! Brrrrrr... Jx
ReplyDeleteIt crazy! By the weekend, here anyway, we're to be in the mid 50's to almost 60 degress!!! And we wonder why so many are sick.
DeleteIt all seems so unreal from San Juan
ReplyDeleteSophie knows how it is.
ReplyDeleteAnd we haven't had snow lately. Only bitter cold. It's nicer today but there may be snow on Saturday.
XOXO
Beautiful!! We only have rain here. And mud. Though apparently the South-East, UK has turned tropical?! I'd love a snowy view - there's still time!
ReplyDeleteSx
Only for one day, Ms Scarlet - it's all back to normal today. Sob. Jx
DeleteIt sure would be nicer than seeing mud and muck wouldn't it?
DeleteNOW see THAT is pretty!!!!! Oh how I love the pictures and love the festival lights in your yard. No what we got here on the other hand was obscene and ugly! 22" is a lot! I understand you can barely even see the boardwalks and where the beach starts.
