House of Dion!!!!
...at the Casa du Borghese!
When I was a wee one growing up, the little Maddie had quite a reading list and one that molded me to who I am today. Such great inspiring titles and setting a mood for later years.

This weekend found us getting what was probably our real second snowfall of the season. This snow fall we lucked out from the blizzard that hit many of the major cities on the East Coast and along upward into the Northeast. Nothing like dear Rade, or Pearly Gates in Ptown got hit with. Even poor Agnes near Rehoboth Beach got slammed with 22"! I ended up with a smidge over 5" here. The first few pictures were actually taken at around 11:30pm, so I was shocked to see how light the pictures turned out from it being so bright out with the snow fall. There is no denying though, a fresh fallen snow before being disturbed looks so pretty. And the next morning, it was super bright out....and the snow was a real tree hugger snow. A beautiful sight. I also captured a few snaps on my way to my appointments, from Main Street.
1, I'm off from work with a few appointments today, and 2, the Snow Queen gave us a wonderful nightly kiss overnight, giving the world a new fresh blanket of 5" of pure white snow. Everything looks so pretty again, and ever notice how quiet it is, not to mention how fresh the air smells? Just perfect! Ill share pictures later tonight if I get a chance. But some friends of mine in Bucks County, Philly, New York City and Ptown....wellllllll....most of them are getting upwards of 15" or more, with winds. It's Monday kids! Stay in bed!!!! Or go out and make snow angels!
I saw this video from one of my Instagram friends page, Smart Animalz. Yes, birds do bring gifts to people. Friendship comes on all shapes and sizes. Did you know that Corvids such as crows and ravens, along with magpies have the intelligence of a 7-year-old child? They don't just remember faces, they remember kindness. This behavior is called "gifting". Ravens and magpies will often bring tokens such as shiny objects, bones, feathers or choose something aesthetic like a flower stem or pieces of nature. The behavior is often seen as a way to express gratitude or strengthen social bonds. Almost a way of saying "I see you and you are part of my flock. The video tickled me.
What with the Winter Olympic games coming to a close, of which I saw none, it did bring back some memories of 2018 when I gotten smitten with Adam Rippon. He is the sweetness and mouth melt this week in the Candy Shop. Many of the Mistress's friends think I'm nut and don't see the attraction, or they find him to queeny, but I find him just irresistible. Adam Rippon won the bronze medal in the team event at the 2018 Winter Olympics, which at the time, made him the first openly gay US athlete to win a medal at the games. It also happens to be the year he posed and skated naked for ESPN Body Issue. I sure could do some figure eights with him any day. Granted, they would be in the sheets, and not on the ice.
And now...for the triple thrust...Ahem, I meant triple axel.
