A DAY OF LIKE MINDS

It was a great feeling to partake in the No Kings Rally in Philadelphia. I understand there was upwards of 80,000 people in attendance.  The rally gathering point was at City Hall and then went now Market to Independence Mall to where Independence Hall is located, where it all started. Everyone seemed in good moods, positive attitudes and strong messages. And there were Democrats, Republicans, Independant's, all colors, ethnicities, and backgrounds, side by side to express ourselves and our unhappiness with the current administration and let our voices be heard. And all politicians should have been paying attention to yesterday, because we the people are done, and sick and tired of not getting results when they are elected. Yesterday should be a learning example of what happens by either party when we are not happy. We the people deserve better, and I hope that people are waking up, considering how well the rally did nationwide. It was a moving day, and it felt great to be out there and feeling like your making a difference and hopefully will bring change.

Loved this woman's sign! LMAO!

And if your not happy...VOTE!!!! In everything you can. My advice is to vote, even if you don't like the candidate. You can always vote for another candidate when the primaries roll around in your party. That's the beauty of a democracy. I even talked to a Republican couple who hate trump, and we have to remember to embrace them. Why should we be nasty to them? All we will do is turn their votes to the other side. The Democratics are the welcoming party.

Was I 100% happy with Biden? Absolutely not. I get so mad though at people who say I don't like him. I won't vote for him. We have to vote. One person I talked to at the time of the last election, I said if we don't get Harris in, it's going to lead to fascism. And this person said to me were already in fascism. Well, since we don't teach civics anymore, may of the younger generation don't know, they don't understand what's happening now leads to fascism. Do us Democrats need to change our message? Damn it... absolutely!78 million people voted for Trump. They are not all MAGA. A lot of them were people who were just really angry and really hurting because they can't pay for things they need, healthcare, groceries and such and it's getting worst now. Those people are now having buyer's remorse, and we cannot judge them, we have to open our arms and welcome them, we need a really big tent. Biden and Harris didn't talk enough about the working-class people. What the democrats have to talk about is income inequality, what the republicans are doing to our democracy, keeping the minimum wage down, and to healthcare, ICE, not being transparent, and letting out and pardoning criminals.... and to food. Everything is more expensive, because of what Trump is doing. If people don't see what's going on, they must be blind. And the first Democrat who says vote for me because I'm not trump will get slapped. We can see you're not trump...we want to HEAR what you're going to do if we elect you in. And then DO IT.

Hope everyone that went to a rally was safe and felt the same. How was your rally?

  1. Yesterday was a good day for democracy and a bad day all around for the GOP. The fact that the only ones arrested were cultists is another bloody wound for a party that might need to start looking for either a way out, or a body bag.

    1. I agree! And I'm sure they were highly pissed off that no violence was reported. Of course everyone was talking about how the dump let Geroge Santos out!!! All he does is pardon criminals. It's like living in Gotham City. But it WAS A GOOD DAY!

We had 250 000 at our No Kings Rally in DC ! :)
The crowds of true patriots were well behaved, unlike the desecration and sedition of January 6 by the delusional magas of Trump.
The GoP are in for an election drubbing come the midterms.

  3. It was a GREAT weekend and talk about sending a big FU to the administration. Great feeling knowing we may be a part of the change. I also agree with much of what you say too. Party affiliation is the problem. People need to think independently. It would be great if candidates had to all run as independents.

  6. It was a phenomenal experience and day wasn't it? I too agree with you, I hope every elected official can see what happens when we the people have had enough. Get your acts together. The GOP has moved SO FAR RIGHT its barely distinguishable from the Nazi party, and people are noticing. Wake up before it's too late.

  7. I was on the fence about going. Listening to various podcasts talking about how much the administration is going to crack down on protests, and that we're all considered "terrorists" and "against America" etc. I turned off the podcasts and went to the protest. And I am glad for it!

Lessons learned: 1) Ignore the podcasts. 2) MAGA is REALLLLLY stupid. They're fucking morons and should be treated as such.

  9. What demented mind could have come up with describing these as 'HATE America rallies'? Too many, I fear. They seem entirely joyous affairs from what I can make out. I rather think that in coming times the Repugs would prefer not to refer to them at all, as though having never happened - seeing, as I guess, that the number of Americans who are like-minded witrh those attending outnumber by FAR those who disapproved of the rallies. Only wish that I could have been with any of them, even the disapppointingly smallish one that took place outside the American Embassy in London - but even so. Tell that big, fat, orange, unstable moron on to just "EFF OFF!"

    1. The electoral college system needs to go too! Even though the number who voted for him outnumber those who voted for him, it's that system that eff's everything up! I just think we have to win the next election. He rubbed too many the wrong way. R's that didn't voted for him a second time, and one that did, but now regret it. So his voters have got to be eroding. Probably why they are all some bitter and angry. Even though they have won prom king and queen...they are still only on the outside looking in and still not any popular.

    2. Yes, our own electoral system is bad enough - First-past-the-post for virtually everything! - the main argument in support of it being "It's simple and easy to understand by everyone", which it maybe is BUT that hardly makes it FAIR! The Americam system has its failures too, of course and, with its rife gerrymandering - or attempts at - principally to keep whites disproportionally powerful, is just as overdue as ours is for a top-to-bottom overhaul. Trouble is, just like ours, those who currently profit by the present system will pull out all the stops to prevent it changing. Same the whole world over! :-(

  10. Yes, thank you! I know Americans have a solid protest history. I've seen many pictures on the news and Instagram - it gives me a chink of hope.

  12. We had quite a crowd in Columbia, bigger than last time, which was good to see. I spoke to several Republicans who joined in because of what Cankles is doing to this country. I hope they continue with their rage against him until 2026!

    1. Yes I agree Bob, the set of Republicans that I talk to you have never voted for Trump. But my one friend gets downright rude and I told him not to do that cuz all we're going to do is isolate them further into voting Republican. I can remember in Bucks County a lot of Republicans voted Republican in local elections, but when it came to us reps governor and president they would vote Democrat. So why would you want to jeopardize that kind of vote?

  13. We had 2 small protests. One downtown in the morning (approx 2,000) and one on the Strip in the evening. But neighboring suburbs also had protests, so the total participants for the metro area really outdid the past protests. We seem to be gaining momentum.

The success of the No Kings Day rallies have the regime and its followers feeling like the cornered rats that they are.
Ya just know they fear the midterm elections.
