Was I 100% happy with Biden? Absolutely not. I get so mad though at people who say I don't like him. I won't vote for him. We have to vote. One person I talked to at the time of the last election, I said if we don't get Harris in, it's going to lead to fascism. And this person said to me were already in fascism. Well, since we don't teach civics anymore, may of the younger generation don't know, they don't understand what's happening now leads to fascism. Do us Democrats need to change our message? Damn it... absolutely!78 million people voted for Trump. They are not all MAGA. A lot of them were people who were just really angry and really hurting because they can't pay for things they need, healthcare, groceries and such and it's getting worst now. Those people are now having buyer's remorse, and we cannot judge them, we have to open our arms and welcome them, we need a really big tent. Biden and Harris didn't talk enough about the working-class people. What the democrats have to talk about is income inequality, what the republicans are doing to our democracy, keeping the minimum wage down, and to healthcare, ICE, not being transparent, and letting out and pardoning criminals.... and to food. Everything is more expensive, because of what Trump is doing. If people don't see what's going on, they must be blind. And the first Democrat who says vote for me because I'm not trump will get slapped. We can see you're not trump...we want to HEAR what you're going to do if we elect you in. And then DO IT.
Hope everyone that went to a rally was safe and felt the same. How was your rally?
Yesterday was a good day for democracy and a bad day all around for the GOP. The fact that the only ones arrested were cultists is another bloody wound for a party that might need to start looking for either a way out, or a body bag.
ReplyDeleteI agree! And I'm sure they were highly pissed off that no violence was reported. Of course everyone was talking about how the dump let Geroge Santos out!!! All he does is pardon criminals. It's like living in Gotham City. But it WAS A GOOD DAY!
DeleteWe had 250 000 at our No Kings Rally in DC ! :)
ReplyDeleteThe crowds of true patriots were well behaved, unlike the desecration and sedition of January 6 by the delusional magas of Trump.
The GoP are in for an election drubbing come the midterms.
Rex in DC
It was a GREAT weekend and talk about sending a big FU to the administration. Great feeling knowing we may be a part of the change. I also agree with much of what you say too. Party affiliation is the problem. People need to think independently. It would be great if candidates had to all run as independents.
ReplyDeleteI was at a rally held here in the Clevland suburbs. Plenty of beeps of support from passing traffic.
ReplyDelete"Girl, Hold My Earrings" -- HAHAHAHAHA, brilliant sign!
ReplyDeleteIt was a phenomenal experience and day wasn't it? I too agree with you, I hope every elected official can see what happens when we the people have had enough. Get your acts together. The GOP has moved SO FAR RIGHT its barely distinguishable from the Nazi party, and people are noticing. Wake up before it's too late.
ReplyDeleteI was on the fence about going. Listening to various podcasts talking about how much the administration is going to crack down on protests, and that we're all considered "terrorists" and "against America" etc. I turned off the podcasts and went to the protest. And I am glad for it!
ReplyDeleteLessons learned: 1) Ignore the podcasts. 2) MAGA is REALLLLLY stupid. They're fucking morons and should be treated as such.
I had heard some of that too. I thought to myself, good luck cracking down on several million, LMAO!!! It was bigger than I thought it would be. And THEY are the terrorists, the fat dump and his administration.
DeleteThanks for representing. Wish I could have been there.
ReplyDeleteWhat demented mind could have come up with describing these as 'HATE America rallies'? Too many, I fear. They seem entirely joyous affairs from what I can make out. I rather think that in coming times the Repugs would prefer not to refer to them at all, as though having never happened - seeing, as I guess, that the number of Americans who are like-minded witrh those attending outnumber by FAR those who disapproved of the rallies. Only wish that I could have been with any of them, even the disapppointingly smallish one that took place outside the American Embassy in London - but even so. Tell that big, fat, orange, unstable moron on to just "EFF OFF!"
ReplyDeleteThe electoral college system needs to go too! Even though the number who voted for him outnumber those who voted for him, it's that system that eff's everything up! I just think we have to win the next election. He rubbed too many the wrong way. R's that didn't voted for him a second time, and one that did, but now regret it. So his voters have got to be eroding. Probably why they are all some bitter and angry. Even though they have won prom king and queen...they are still only on the outside looking in and still not any popular.
DeleteYes, thank you! I know Americans have a solid protest history. I've seen many pictures on the news and Instagram - it gives me a chink of hope.

The voice of reason and the voice of sanity shouted out loud
ReplyDeleteSending love and support from this side of the pond.
We had quite a crowd in Columbia, bigger than last time, which was good to see. I spoke to several Republicans who joined in because of what Cankles is doing to this country. I hope they continue with their rage against him until 2026!
