Well...here we are on Monday again!!! Thank heavens for a three day work week! And for that I am truly grateful! I had been anxious about tests being done for a surgical procedure I'm having done in December. All my test came back excellent for liver and kidney disease, heart, no diabetes or high cholesterol!!! My blood pressure was high, well, on the higher side...but even that was now good and where it should be. Another thing to be thankful for. This should be a good week and one of my favorites of the year. I always loved Thanksgiving week I don't know why. And for the first time in my existence, we have absolutely nobody coming... family wise, for dinner. So, we have opted to invite in people who work at my mother's rehab who are immigrants and green card holders. While they haven't had any issues they do live in fear and get paid measly amounts of money to do housekeeping. So we're having two of the ladies and their husbands in, and my friend Vera will be joining us who also has been having a troubling time financially. We should remember to help our friends and community if we have the means. Break bread with others.
Let's all enjoy the short week shall we? Happy Monday!

Thanksgiving Day on my end will be a normal day in the life, which I appreciate, and good for you to share your bountiful blessings with people from your mom’s rehab and a friend going through a difficult time. Happy Thanksgiving! P.S., tell that guy scratching his balls that there’s a cream for that.
ReplyDeleteMaybe he is waiting for a volunteer to inch them!!!!! Yep...when I heard on family was coming, I told my mother to invite her two rehab housekeepers in for dinner. They have it bad enough. And my dear friend Vera is going through a rough patch. And heavens knows, I love cooking for people who love to eat! It's time to make our immigrants that want to live here feel welcomed and appreciated.
DeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteI am quite taken by the final autumn mountain photo - and the golden acorns!
ReplyDeleteI'm raising a G&T to your good health (well, it's water as I've just finished the gin!).
See...all these years of guzzling gin and healthy as an ox and never sick. Gin haters can say what they want. Water. I will use ice but feel terrible, since it takes up room in the glass.
DeleteI could mention the big penis but I’m rather more taken by that white and green jug
ReplyDeleteIm the same way squire...I have a thing for pottery jugs and pitcher. But the big penis is nice.
DeleteDuring the holidays when I asked my loved ones and friends "how are you", I really mean, "how are you".
ReplyDeleteThat's right. Which is why it's nice to ask, and if they are not doing fine, we need to be there for them. Not enough people care anymore, or are there to help family and friends like the generations before us. If your not back by Thanksgiving JM have a good one!
DeleteNow THAT sounds like a wonderful Thanksgiving! I’d like to help those two guys with their pants.
ReplyDeleteBy the looks of the one...he doesn't need any help!!!
DeleteI'm a bit late to the blogs today, but your mood board is spot on again! I was like the kitty in the sweater pile this morning -- slept in and didn't want to get outta bed, LOL!
ReplyDeleteI never want to get out of bed on Monday...even harder when a man is present.
DeleteWe usually do a Friendsgiving on Friday but since the kitchen is not quite ready ... still waiting on tiles ... we will be guests this year!
ReplyDeleteAnd, as luck would have it, I was so proactive at work that after leaving early this afternoon I am not do back until next Monday.
I am so ready for a relaxing week ...
Enjoy the time off Bob. I can't wait to see the new kitchen. I have two days to go yet, then off for four days myself.
DeleteAwww, Mads!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is absolutely nice of you! Inviting people over for Thanksgiving gives even more meaning to the date. Love that journey for you. *smooches*
And super glad the tests went well! Make sure to let us know how everything goes in the future, though. I know you're fearless, but I am totally scared of hospitals and I don't like my fav people going to 'visit' one...
XOXO
Also, that man letting all hang out is delicious.
DeleteGimme.
XOXO
Thanks Six!!!! I have been a NERVORUS wreak and riddled with anxiety over this surgical procedure coming up and all the tests to clear me for it. I have never been a day in my life under anesthesia. And it's implants! But like you, have never had anything done or medically done except for yearly checkups. Thanks heavens I got my blood pressure down.
DeleteImplants? You and Dolly Parton, dear! Jx
DeleteGobble, gobble! That's what turkeys (and gay boys) say, isn't it? Jx
ReplyDeleteThere I am in your header, cute as can be, riding my turkey. I love that kitty's face. Looks as if he's in a pile of sweaters. It's great you can invite some people in need for Thanksgiving. I'm sure they'll be good company, too.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Nothing against either one of them--I like both The Golden Girls and Bonanza--but I never quite got that decade-long Macy's Thanksgiving pairing of Betty White and Lorne Greene. Are they supposed to be soul mates or something?
ReplyDeleteGlad your good medical test results are putting your mind at ease!
