This week is getting away from the Mistress. The business doesn't seem to end. Please enjoy some of my aviators I took this morning. The doves kept coming to the tree outside the kitchen window. I was beginning to feel like Tippi Henderon!
The window sill was completely empty this morning, so after I put more seed out, within minutes those doves in the tree showed up, as well as a Downey Woodpecker and several Tufted Titmice.
Back Soon if work lets up. Its beginning to cramp my style.
Abby has to report The Squirrel was in the bird feeder today!
ReplyDeleteI love these photos - - especially the first one.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jon. That was taken right after I got up. Unfortunately not all the doves are visible. There were at least 20.
DeleteA tree full of birds is a wonderful thing - unless you really are Tippi, that is!
ReplyDeleteWork can be so annoying and inconvenient. I'd love to put seed out for the birds, but the cats would love that even more.
ReplyDeleteIn some form or other, you attract bird!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Bird Buffet .... but work! Bah! After my two weeks away my boss asked when I was coming back and I said I hadn't decided IF I was returning.
ReplyDeleteI was only partially joking.
ah, sweet mistress, but you have saturday to look forward to, amirite? :)
ReplyDeleteThat will be one strange bird. And I know just the ingredient to lure it out.
Deletegin? (she said hopefully)
DeleteCrunch time for you, keep the birdies happy
ReplyDeleteMy father used to buy 20lb bags of birdseed several at a time as to always have plenty on hand for his squirrel-proof feeders he kept in the Crabapple tree outside of his family room window. Then he would bitch about all the birdshit on his cars which were parked about twenty feet away. I do miss him though.
ReplyDeleteSome weeks I get eaten out of house and home. But I love have breakfast watching them, and they all seem to get along.
DeleteI just filled the feeder again this morning; I swear they go through a 17 pound bag in 3 days time!
DeleteWork always gets in the way, doesn't it? Well, raspberries to that...
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures - we don't get those kinds of birds out here - lots of pigeons and grackles, a few sparrows, some hummingbirds. And, a guy with an aviary not far from here had a few chickadee escape artists, so I'm beginning to see a few in my yard. Cute lil buggers! Hugs, my mistress!!
I pretty much get chickadees year round. They are pretty comical and loud for such small things.
DeleteI don't have the tree outside my bedroom window anymore, but once in awhile a bird will perch itself on top of the fence.
ReplyDeleteOur bird feeders here have been getting busier and I saw for the first time the Juncos'. So you know winter must be coming.
ReplyDeleteYes, I too saw my first appear as a matter of fact, last Saturday.
DeleteI always love you pictures of the Tufted Titmice. Their hard to capture. My work too has been insane lately, can't wait for the weekend.
ReplyDeleteAnd I thought I was the only one keeping the bird seed industry in business.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots as always.
