Autumn has finally arrived I believe here on the East coast, as you can see from my sweater.... finally!!! That is one thing about the fall and winter months I like, SWEATERS!!!!!! Of course, that will also bring some fall touches to the Casa du Borghese.......
In the living room, this year I choose to go with real dried branches of various trees, with the colors of the leaves being so vibrant this year. I also added in some Witch Hazel blooms......
Yes......I'm still 6 years old.......
This metal star was actually a finial of a old building I found at a architectural salvage shop. It was converted into a candle holder, and makes a very cool design around the room when lit......
Finishing out the bookcase are my favorite pieces of pottery, and glass vases along with a huge hurricane and one of my signs of me being around.......peacock feathers!!!
In the kitchen, on this cabinet, which does not house china, but my bar, is a real pumpkin, along with favorite urn and vase.... along with dried berry branches, cat tails, and yellow Witch Hazel. Matilda, my black crow, sits on the ceramic pumpkin!!!!!
In the apothecary's jar this season are a variety of gourds, dried pomegranates, pods, acorns, and a bunch of dried leaves, with seed stems and dried orange slices......
whilst these two keep a watchful eye on the birds..........
The Victorian birdcage I found last year now has a small topiary in it along with another jack o lantern.....
Have you yet noticed all the candles???? I have already stock up. As a regular reader might know I'm a huge candle whore!!!! I'll take candle light over real light any night. On any given night, it looks like a seance is taking place with upwards of 20 or more candles. Nice to know I'm not the only thing lit!!!!!!
This dear head still keeps a watchful eye. Still bothers the Lad when he is here. I have no idea why? His head is usually facing the head board anyway.
Meanwhile more candles and another fall foliage arrangement of some really cool finds......
One of my favorite things at night, if one of my suitors isn't here.. is curling up and cocooning in my favorite tapestry throw......
......and it's definitely that time of year for my favorite bedtime stiffener of ginger liqueur......
Cheers darlings to a swell Autumn!!!!!!
"His head is usually facing the head board anyway." - bwhahahaha! hope you and the lad had a bangin' weekend!
