Grande Dame of the Week

The fabulous and hilarious Miss Richfield 1981!

There are few people who can insist that their name be followed by a date when it is spoken, but Miss Richfield 1981 does it quite successfully which is not to say she won't answer if you just say Miss Richfield. Miss Richfield hails from the mid west with her fabulous style, swank coif, and signature smile that the Mistress just loves. And she is one of the most hilarious queens I have ever seen! Why, she is my favorite queen right after, of course ,Lady Bunny! She is far too fast with the cracks and asides for any kind of real doubt about whether she's all upstairs, her shows ride more on stand up than drag, but she does do a number or two. It's her humor, comic skits and improvised quips that make her a Provincetown Grande Dame. If you have a chance to see her she really is worth it. As a matter of fact, Miss Richfield will be having a show this summer in Rehoboth Beach at the Mistress's favorite drinking establishment,The Blue Moon. Rehoboth Beach Summertime- Miss Richfield will be there for 5 weeks, May 26th- June 24th for Country Western nights on Tuesdays and Rehoboth Beach Idol on Wednesdays. You can go to Blue Moon's website for details. In the meantime here's a teaser! The You Tube clip is her singing her First Lady's Song. Funny as hell. If you watch it you will have to forward to the 2:30 point where she begins. Enjoy!

I did a show with her years ago now and she had me in stiches before I could hit the stage. She is a one of a kind!
