GRANDE DAME

This week's Grande Dame is one of the trail blazers from  Brooklyn ,New York, who is not only putting Brooklyn of the map as a drag entertaining locale, but has a wonderfully fun style. Thorgy Thor!!! And was I the only one shocked to see her go already on Drag Race??? I adored his style and what a fun and wonderful personality he had. One thing I remember Thorgy  saying I love and take with me is this bit of advice...
"As an artist, I think it’s important to understand that good work comes in waves. Every time you are on top of the world, know that the wave will subside, then come back again. Keep going. Keep creating. And be ready for that wave. Don’t lose yourself during a low tide, but rather throw your energy into preparing for the opportunity around the corner. Treat everyone you meet with respect on your way to the top, because you may need their help on the way down... and please wear deodorant and have good breath while working in nightlife." Thorgy Thor can be seen every single Tuesday for over three years  at The Ritz on 46th in Manhattan. The second and fourth Thursday of every month you can see me performing in “QUEEN” at Industry Bar in Manhattan, which features some great talent in a non-stop production show at midnight. The third Thursday of every month,  you can celebrate the art of the auction while Thorgy co-host's “Alotta Stuff Live Auction“ at Metropolitan Bar in Brooklyn with an 8:30 p.m. Every Saturday and Sunday you can see Thorgy having a blast running around Lucky Chengs in Times Square — NYC’s longest-running Drag Cabaret Dinner Theater, going strong for 20 years.

  1. Yes, I thought Thorgy Thor would be one of the final contenders.

  3. Spoiler alert! A certain beard has been busy and hasn't gotten to that episode on his DVR yet. No worries, I'll enjoy the show anyway even if I do know the ending.

  4. I was surprised too. I guess I'll root for bob now. I thought Thorgy was a different kind of performer. Derrick does Brittany. Whoppee. Kim is stunning but more editorial I feel then performer. I was really liking Thorgy.
