This weekend, the Mistress will be over joyed to have the privilege to see this next Grande Dame, Miss Hope Springs ...Comedy Cabaret Chanteuse.
This weekend, the London based queen will be headlining her first and only show in the US right here at my beloved Raven Resort in Hew Hope!!!Miss Hope Springs is the towering blonde creation of composer, lyricist, pianist and comic actor Ty Jeffries (son of the late British screen legend Lionel Jeffries). Ty’s formative years living in Tinsel Town lend authenticity to his multilayered portrayal of never-say-die show business trouper Hope Springs. Ty is a classically trained pianist (Purcell School) and since 2012, his glittering alter ego has been starring in London's West End top cabaret rooms. Playing the piano and singing her award winning repertoire of uniquely catchy original songs, ex-Vegas nightclub chanteuse Miss Hope Springs brings her laugh-out-loud-move-you-to-tears one-woman show. A show which has garnered praise from critics. Still wearing the sequins she left the Pink Pelican Casino with in 1972, and accompanied by her Hot Jazz Combo on throbbing double bass and sizzling percussion, Hope regales with hysterical tales from her ‘Ritz to the pits’ life. You’ll hear Hope’s blend of finger snapping pop, romantic rhumbas and sassy bossa novas. Ty is a classically trained pianist, a published songwriter (Elton John's Rocket Music) and has worked with artists as varied as Neneh Cherry, Vangelis, Chaka Khan, and Billy MacKenzie and The Associates. Ty continues his hugely successful relationship now in it’s 5th year, with London's premier cabaret room, Crazy Coqs, with a once monthly Sunday evening residency.

If your in the area stop on by, enjoy a talented queen and sling back some gin with the Mistress and clan.
Fanatstic video! It's nice to see a queen use real vocals and not lip synch. Have a great time.
ReplyDeleteYour lucky, I've always wanted to see her perform!!! Hope is like the magic of Peggy Lee with an extra touch of camp, humor, and emotion. Send my regards.
