Happy Monday all!!!
Today started my second vacation, and since I'm ahead of the game of getting ready for my trip, and before company arrives tomorrow to whisk me away, I'm spending the day up at the lake to take a run, then do some kayaking.I had a lovely breakfast this morning while watching Bonnie, Clyde and company.....
Loved this shot of Jay flying away.......
I really need to stop walking around in Calvin's....!
Lovely birds, and you're in quite a good mood for a Monday. I was almost going to ask, "Where is Mistress, and what have you done with her?"
ReplyDeleteYour fine feathered friends seem especially cordial today!
ReplyDeleteWOW! WHAT AMAZING PICTURES!!!! One can almost see every detail! Beautiful
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL SHOTS!!!! You can see almost every individual feather! I love doves...so sweet and quite
ReplyDeleteLoves the bird pictures. Doves spend a lot of time here too.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots!!!! Those close UPS are amazing. My favorite is the last and the one where you can see sun coming through the tree with the dove. I can tell they must be used to your presence.
ReplyDeleteThat last picture is amazing!!!!! I see some concern though. Did you have eggs for breakfast?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post and another vacation???? The kayaking sounds fun, must be nice to be so close to a lake. I have tried getting Blue jays to my window.....to no avail. Great set of photos.
ReplyDeletethe last pix (bird thoughts):
ReplyDelete"what the hell? did he just flip me the bird?"
"is that a suet stick in those shorts, or is he just glad to see me?"
hell, even most guys around here have sampled that long suet stick. there ain't no hiding it.
Deletelucky guys! :)
DeleteBy the look of that last picture, are you sure you weren't letting all hang out! The bird looks jealous. Great picture btw!
ReplyDeleteit has a mind of it's own.
DeleteYour now what I call a sexy bird! They must certainly be used to your presence. Awesome shots.
ReplyDeleteI love to sit and watch my birds in the morning before going to work, but I don't know I get such a variety. Those dove pictures are quite nice.
ReplyDeleteAs pretty as they are, I cut off my job description as a bird care giver, whist you'll be away.
ReplyDeleteYou capture here a wonderful example of how our human minds and hearts (and some work) can impact our little plots of land, or just out our windows, to the benefit of that amazing world of nature that we are part of and so often forget!
ReplyDeleteI love this piece! It was a lovely way to start my morning – and a beautiful reminder to stop, look, and appreciate all the nature and life in my own backyard (as well as in yours). I love that you are able to take such beautiful photos while also being mindful to protect the birds
ReplyDeleteIt must be you! I have spread seed across my windows sills and haven't gotten one bird. They come close but nothing. Your pictures are so nice and clear, There are so cute, if even curious.
ReplyDeleteI love bird watching too!
ReplyDeleteOh, wait...
:)
That makes two of us!
DeleteI swear, your like the bird whisper. Very nice pictures.
ReplyDeleteWhat cool photos! I can't say I ever saw a dove up so close before. And that last picture.....it's like he's posing for you!
