AROUND THE CASA

It has been awhile since we have seen around my little pied de terre. Summer is one of my favorite times of year. Call me weird, but I absolutely love the hot humid weather. I think I have had my air on once so far, but my flat is completely surrounded by trees, which helps to keep it cool. Yesterday I captured these pictures of the hostas blooming, complete with bee, searching for nectar.

Inside, since I am a major beach baby, seashells abound. And yes, I do listen to the ocean in them!!! Who says birdcages are just for birds?
This new glass and iron compote was a steal on my last antiquing trip with the Dame Courtney. I thought it would be perfect to hold seashells, since there are two mermen on either side.....
My newest acquisition to my coffee table, Tomass Hawkke's Wildbush Trail. Tomass is a very good blogger pal and a incredible photographer and artist, and while I haven't met him, I just know he is a real sweetheart, sexy and very, very, talented. His work is just so fun, fresh, erotic, and breathtaking. You can find out and see more in the book and check out his talented works on his blog, Tomass Hawkke's Naked Nature. And he always answers back, which I love.

My apothecary jars I have, holding my immense collection of seashells... found ones, bought ones, and ones I have received....throw in some netting and your ready for the catch.......

In the bar in the kitchen, are two big shells under a bell jar....
Some of my gin collection.....
Another new piece to the eclectic stuff around here, this lit arrow marquee which I got at my friend Punk Rock's shop, God Save The Qweens.....

It points to the bar, although, the Lad thought it should point to my ass!!! He is so mature. Speaking of the Lad, he was taking a picture of my Pimms, when he noticed my gratuitous Calvin clad backside, working at the island, in the glass!!!!!!!!!

Behave!!!!! You know who you are!!!!! Carrying on, in the boudoir we find yet more shells, along with my chrome fan, WHICH I LOVE and use most nights with the windows open..... Not to be too tmi, but there is nothing like a good nude sleep, with the windows open wide and feeling that fan.
Two of my favorite clocks. The one I just had to have because of the little elephant on top of it.
Mirror, mirror one the wall, who is the biggest slut of all!!!! Magic has been known to happen right there on that sofa!!!!!!

And finally, probably my favorite print in the house...this Serengeti Print.....

I just love big huge elephants!!!! Ever since I rode once, I have been in love with them....so majestic. I also hope to go to the Serengeti one day. Well, I don't know about you, but I'm ready for a nice weekend....and a vacation. WHAT! Yes, I'm getting ready for trip two this week, in a couple days. What can I say....it's hell working almost three full weeks, I'm bushed. Now where is my cock-a-tail?
