If you have yet to ever see Dina Martina, check this gal out sometime!!!
She's a tragic singer, horrible dancer and surreal raconteur, the hysterically funny Dina Martina debuted at Seattle’s, or as she pronounces it Settle.... Center on Contemporary Art in 1989, instantly gleaning reviews that dubbed her “magically warped”, “hilariously unfortunate” and “utter genius”. Since then, she’s packed venues in New York, Los Angeles, London, Toronto and San Francisco and shared the bill with acts such as Modest Mouse, Margaret Cho, and Village People. Absolutely packed with ludicrous song, horrifying stories and overburdened costumes, Dina Martina’s shows are impossible to adequately describe, other than that they’ve become synonymous with jaw-dropping pathos, murdering of the English language and mind-blowing comedy. Dina Martina has been hailed as “Divinely funny", “Painfully funny and demented” and “The most original drag performer working in America today.” What a Dina Martina show is, quite simply put, is a smart and hilarious evening of entertainment that you will never forget. Just look at that mug!!!!!

ReplyDeleteNow there is one funny and twisted queen! How can one not love those lips? Not to mention the camel toe.
ReplyDeleteNow that has got to be a face only a mother could love! She looks like a riot
ReplyDeleteWe love Dina! The best thing to come out of Seattle, ever!
ReplyDeleteHappened upon Dina Martina while in Provincetown in 2006....the funniest show I've ever seen in my life. I was crying, I was laughing so hard. Truly, truly delightfully twisted.
ReplyDeleteI'm getting Chita Rivera meets Totie Fields and I'm loving it!
ReplyDeleteShe is the craziest queen I ever did meet. Even her interviews are funny as hell.
ReplyDeleteI'd ask why she hasn't been here - or is scheduled here - but this place has no real venue. What a shame. Not that we don't have drag queens or drag shows. We do. They're just done in tiny, tiny places with no stage, no lights...just a microphone, cd-player, and piano.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely sublime. I can't imagine a more bizarre queen! I'm guessing she is quite funny.
ReplyDeleteGotta love her, but if that isn't your look on the weekends I don't know what is.
ReplyDeleteI love Dina and her shows are quite hilarious, but those lips would scare me at a glory hole.
ReplyDeletewhat a riot!!!!!!
