It is a love that can be found and is expressed across all of the animal kingdom, not just among us humans.
And then there is this pair!
This apple didn't fall far from the tree! I've been off for a long weekend with my mother for a Mother's Day surprise. She didn't even know about it. I'm sneaky like that. But I love her dearly.
My mother's favorite song. Tis rather true. I know for us, it's very true, and I'm am always grateful for she is my mother, my rock and my friend.
To all the wonderful mothers out there...
Have a lovely Mother's Day Weekend!
~XOXO*

This song has a special meaning. No matter where you end up in life, your mom is going to be there for you no matter what happens. I couldn't have pictured my life without my mom! My mom was the best parent I could ever ask for. My own kids are coming later. I understand we heading to Philly for dinner.
ReplyDeleteYou are a sweet child Mistress even though you brought tears to my eyes. Lovely post as the Mistress does it.
Happy Mothers Day to all.

ReplyDeletebut you and your mom, mistress - how cute you two are!
Hugs, Carebear!
Deletethank you, deedless. I am better off mentally and physically without her!
DeleteI understand completely, Carebear. Lousy club to be a part of isn't it? Yet, you live, you learn, you do better.
DeleteWhat song? These pictures are all so cute! The one with the orcas blew cuteness through the roof! Maddie, you look a lot like your mother. You even have the same expression on your faces :)
ReplyDeleteI am happy for all of you who have/had mothers who didn't make Joan Crawford seem like June Cleaver. Ah, moms, where would we be without them? Still swimming around in some guy's baby bag I suppose. Wow, maybe my mood from last week is still lingering. Positive note: my daughter-in-law is an excellent mother, and I love her dearly. See, I can be nice.
There was a video. I have learned to never click when the mistress says. It either makes me cry or get me turned on!!! The video suddenly vanished away in the middle of watching. Just as well, I'd didn't have a tissue.
DeleteI wonder what happened??? Blogger has been having issues again.
Delete@Maddie- Well, it's playing now, but I had to turn if off in the first twenty seconds. No use crying over something I never had.
DeleteThere's is nothing stronger than a mothers love. I am adoring that picture of you and your Mother. This post has the waterworks on for me today. I will give my mother some extra hard hugs today.

Happy Mothers Day, Moms!
Those are the most beautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteYesterday was, at the age of 68, my first "real" Mother's Day. As you may have read on a few other blogs, I was obliged to give up my sweet little baby boy at birth, 46 years ago. But he found me last year, to our mutual joy! Unfortunately he lives in Mauritius, so we only saw each other for 6 weeks.
We keep in pretty close by email, but I was terrified he'd forget me on Sunday. I had decided to simply tell him that ever since we met last July every day has been Mother's Day for me, which it has! But of course my darling boy didn't forget, so I'm a happy mumma. Just as well since my mum died 36 years ago on Saturday.
Sorry for writing a book here.
Rozzie, what an inspiring story. That is warm to know you too have a relationship again. No worries about the long comment.....that why we are here! Do you have a blog? I tried finding one but doesn't list one on your profile.
DeleteI love that photo of the two of you. You're so fortunate to have such an exceptional relationship with your mother. And what a beautiful song.
ReplyDeleteAw...that was sweet. You're a good son. I hope you had a really nice visit!
ReplyDeleteI should habe supplied tissues with this post I believe.
