LAST OF THE SUMMER SHOTS

Well, here we are...the last day of summer, and I'm, already waiting for next summer to start!!!! Here are some parting shots from a lovely summer, stating with our Cassia that did well this year.

Coneflower in the garden

Lillith before her passing

Blue Heron along the Susquehanna River

A Bee doing it's thing in the saliva garden.

My lost shoe was found.

Blue jay taking a splish splash

Marco and TJ at Camp with a big cock.

A red Cardinal flower close up with a backshot of the Lad

A lake shot

The wolf pack

Preston's new man, Brandon! Tight little pocket gay!!!!

Getting eyed at breakfast at camp.

Buster in the early spring

Asters and hydrangea

My square cut clad butt

Umbrella fun at the pool

Usual suspects at the feeder

Love this, a vintage VW Bus camper.

The owners were kind of enough to let me see the inside. And that's where the story will be left. I'm sure it looks like a Woodstock scene for sure.

And now as is tradition here at the Casa, I present Lana Del Rey with our summer ending classic....

  10. Golly. I have never heard Ligularia called "Cassia" before - I thought that was a tree? Anyhow, they're lovely blooms. With those, the salvia and the red lobelia - and The Lad's arse - that's a fine display! Jx

PS Love the boys frolicking with a big cock. Who wouldn't?!

    1. Yes John it is Ligularia....but we also have Cassia which is a tree. We just planted a few this summer.I always get them mixed up. Cassie is the one that smells of buttered popcorn.

    2. I struggle to remember Ligularia, although I have a L. ciliata Firecracker in the garden. Doesn't L. Rocket need damp soil?

  12. I always love your end of summer post, and this didn't disappoint. The flowers are lovely and I've always enjoyed The Usual Suspects, whether they be the boys or the Birds. And like Bob, I'm wondering how your shoe ended up there? Too much gin?

  13. No I always love your summer time pictures. Those two boys look like a riot! And of Preston ever runs out of time with his hands full of his man....I have no problem taking Brandon off his hands for a few days! And like wise for you very fine backside Mads!!!! A little bit of the best of all the worlds this summer in your domain. And what's not to love about Buster being near the art museum? Was he taking in a exhibit?

  14. Those Cassias! I wonder if I can grow that here. I love the big leaves. Sorry to hear of the passing of a furry friend. Rest in peace, Lilith! Looks like it was a fine summer of woody and non-woody stock!

    1. What was actually pictured above was Ligularia , which I confused with our cassia. They both look similar but the leaves are very much different. Cassia does really well and hot humid climates so it did really well hear this summer it was a getting cooler now I understand I either have to pull it out or transplant to a pot and bring it in doors for winter. And when you rub its leaves it smells just like buttered popcorn.. beautiful long stem flowers they get

  15. Lilith was lovely. It's too bad the lost shoe wasn't a glass slipper. Some of my flowers are still doing well, but everything in my window boxes has died.

    Love,
    Janie

    1. Oh my window box by the front door looks like s***. I just gotten some fall colored pansies to plant in it. Pansies do excellent in the early spring and fall as they like cold temperatures.

    Tundra Bunny here...

Your photographic summer serenade is lovely, as always! Lilith always looked so regal, while Buster always looks primed for his next adventure! And I'm glad you found your silver stiletto, Maddie, but methinks you got caught in your own man-trap again...

  22. I'm glad to see you were able to shackle your lost show to keep it from wandering away again. Very sensible.

And I do love a pocket gay.
