A Frozen Punxsutawney Phil

Groundhog Day 2011 is certainly not a pretty day this year. With an ice storm hitting much of Pennsylvania including the small town of Punxsutawney, it was a guarantee that Punxsutawney Phil wouldn't see his shadow. Therefore, we can rest assured we'll have a short winter...yeah right, at least according to Phil. The Mistress will believe it when she sees it! The ice gave the Mistress three more hours of extra sleep as the store opened late and over 10,000 people without power here in and around Philadelphia. While the Mistress didn't lose power, she did lose all cable and Internet access till just a couple minutes ago. And can I tell ya how downright pretty it was? It looked like a icy wonderland. I swiped these pictures off the local news stations site. But this was the site everywhere around here. On our grounds we had several tress down and some larger bushes just crushed in half. Now I'll be gearing up for the next one. Saturday is to bring yet another storm.

The beautiful Fairmount Drive has seen better days.
