Le Bec Fin- For Kailyn

I just know Miss Kailyn will love this mouth watering place, a very rare and indulgent vice for the Mistress. When visiting Philadelphia, if you want to experience some of the best French food in the United States, go to Le Bec Fin. I know from the above picture it doesn't look special but wait till your thru the door! Le Bec Fin has been in operation since 1970 and consistently gets rated highly by all kinds of places, and with good reason. It is said to be one of the most expensive in the country. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is exquisite. There are ornate tables and the decor is formal and tastefully done.

Le Bec Fin is the perfect place to take someone for a romantic dinner or when closing an important business deal. For appetizers recommended are the sauteed foie gras or gallete de crabe. For main entrees, The roasted rack of lamb, veal chops, Japanese black bass, and stuffed squab are all done perfectly.

The desserts recommended are the sorbets, strawberry is always a favorite. The restaurant has a tremendous wine selection, most of the greatest French vintages ever made. In addition, the waitstaff is always extremely knowledgeable of all the dishes that are offered. The service received is always excellent when going to Le Bec Fin. In all fairness, dinner can be costly for such fine food and service. Dinner for two, with alcohol and dessert can run $200-$250. But, if you are on a budget, and you would like to experience outstanding French cooking, the restaurant does offer summer prix fixe menu, where prices are about $35 per person. I would recommend this restaurant highly. It is an experience, and one of the finest places to eat in the United States. Would you look at that dessert cart!!!
