Well..... this Mistress had a glorious week back at the Casa du Borghese. Finally getting caught up with things, houseboys cracked back in shape, blogging, a few days at the Raven pool, cooking, and time spent just relaxing. With exception of brunch Saturday, this was the first weekend your Mistress got to enjoy myself since probably sometime in May... and it was most welcomed. As summer is winding down so are things at the Casa. Some of my summer touches will soon be leaving. How's bout that tank top above??? How perfect for me right? A gift from my good friend Bobby Eyeshadow....that crazy bitch.
Even the country mouse Buster looks depressed summer will end soon.
Some of my seashells find over the years......
On rainy days this week, I enjoyed some Waiting for God shows. That show never ceases to crack me up.
In the kitchen, my apothecary jars were also filled with seashells.
In the bar..... we have more shells, and a sea coral and my very own English phone booth Daddy Warbucks brought back when he was in London. The little door even opens.
As you can see, the Mistress is well stock in hooch and especially gin! After all, there's always time for a cock-a-tail.
Even at night worry not finding your way to the bar.....the arrow points the way!
My friend the Engineer made it over to add a shelf to my small island to hold my cookery collection of pots and other items.
Who says birdcages are just for birds?
Upon getting home...the most welcomed site......where all the magic happens! It was so nice to get back in my own king size!
I found this white compote at a antique market for only $30.00. It looks huge in person...couldn't pass it up. In a pinch, I'll bet it holds a great bottomless gin and tonic.
And one morning I saw this fellow peeping in the windows. After some research I found out it is a Grosbeak. Very pretty indeed.
Soon, I guess I'll have to break out the fall finery.
Love how welcoming and cozy your place is and also reflects your fun side. Loving the arrow pointing to the bar. And those that tank and those denim shorts.
ReplyDeleteMistress......what a fun post! I have always loved your creative and eccentric touches through out your place. And I'd say your friend knows you very well. Your boudoir is very luxurious.....loving your bed and linens.
ReplyDeleteAlways enjoy a tour of your place with such a handsome guy. I too love Waiting for God. I wish they'd play it here again. I also enjoy all those sea shells. So nice to bring the beach home.
ReplyDeleteI love you can take that tank top in two ways too.
ReplyDeleteI prefer three-ways myself.

ReplyDeleteYour place is so lovely, but I am surprised to see you wearing any clothes....for a change. And I do see Buster too!
ReplyDeleteLove that tank top!
ReplyDeleteIt sure rivals any Hollywood bungalow I've seen and has a good looking resident. I love your place.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy seeing your summer touches .....just as much as the boys enjoy feeling them. I bet that tank gets the laughs.
ReplyDeleteMistress , you give me something to aspire too. I have since bought some jars and apothecary's and will now attempt to find things to put in them for the seasons. And I could nap in your boudoir anytime.
ReplyDeleteLovely home! I notice you have stainless steel cooking pans. You must be good. I found I scorch mine all the time, and have since rid myself of them all.
ReplyDeleteYour place always looks so nice, but what inquiring minds want to know is how many cock-a-tails you have fit in the bed at once????
ReplyDeleteI love how you share these decoration pics. I can't wait to see what you're going to do for Fall soon.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the thumbnail in my reader of you in a tank.....i thought oh my. That is a good and perfect for you. Loved the peek into your place.
ReplyDeleteAlways a lovely tour. You know I love that, bar cabinet right. And I'm loving the tabletop with with the vases and that lovely compote with the cherub on the side.
ReplyDeleteLots and lots and lots of shells, now we see what you pick up on the beach.
ReplyDeleteSuch a nice, warm, clutter free, bed made, domain! That picture of the bird is the only thing that doesn't make me feel like an utter slob!
ReplyDeleteWell Deedles, I do tend to have a touch of Joan Crawford's anal retentiveness and OCD!!!!!
DeleteAhhhh....getting back to normal, everyday life. It may take some getting used to. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love you kitchen color with that bar in it. And the dark blue walls in the bedroom is amazing. I sure can see why you do what you do, you do it so well. Lovely post.

ReplyDeleteOh autumn, the soft tones of Juan,Carlos,Roberto and Santiago are everywhere.Forget about carving a pumpkin, I still desire to hit the beach- my tanline is engaged to be engraved for the winter holidays.
ReplyDeleteI like the way you think!!!! My tan line is usually just about faded by time spring rolls around again. I will hit the beach till I can't.
