COUNTRYSIDE DRIVE

It has been a busy week already and it's only mid week.!!!! So much going on at work and my social life Ms. Moorecock best step up her duties as Social Director. Work has been going swell, and the Mistress has already started making my mark in the store, and has had a very good reception so far. Don't want to scare everyone too soon you know. But I must admit, my drive to work has been downright welcoming, compared to my hour and 20 minute I used to dred. It now takes me about 20 minutes, which means I don't have to get up till 5:45 now. The said excursion to work is also a calm, beautiful one, with hardly any traffic. I took a few snaps on my way home one night. How's about those beautiful sunflowers??? The field just goes as far as the eye can see with them too.

This is White Marsh Park. It's actually a beautiful cemetery without headstones. I have no idea what exactly the tower is, but at the top, at night, a beacon of light shines from it all over and in different directions.
A beautiful pond with fountain and some gratuitous geese shots. The one was very photogenic.
A lovely chapel up the road...
The said road.....
What will be very convenient is the little roadside farmer market I pass ....literally about 8 minutes from home. Some nice looking produce and fruit, and fresh cut flowers. The sunflower fields from above belong to them. Not to mention a wonderful scene of autumn items.
Right behind these pumpkins is a little barn...and too my delight hled all this adorableness.
The market even supplied corn kibble to feed them...which I couldn't resist. But the reason for a stop initially was a sign for "Just In...Pumpkin Ice Cream." So I bought one of those too.
All I can say is thank goodness swim suit season is over. It is very creamy and delish....YES!

Over the weekend I had the Capital Street Duo in town with other friends and we spent the day in New Hope doing a bar crawl and small bites at every place. It was a glorious day, although, as you can imagine I was hung over terrible.
Only in New Hope are the trains still vintage!!!
The Bucks County Playhouse
One place we enjoyed some stiffeners....the beautiful Nectar.

You never know what you'll see in New Hope!!!! This was at Love Saves the Day.
Just last week, was it I who said  summer kiss me hard before you go??? So far, with earthly delights like this, I'm not minding autumn at all.... it was been sunny, hot and glorious.

  3. As you know, these are among my favorite posts. I knew you'd have me with those sunflowers pictures. Bucks is such a glorious area. probably most beautiful in Pennsylvania in my opinion. The little roadside markets are always the best.

That ice cream sounds good, never had pumpkin.

  11. very nice way to welcome fall. Not often a cemetery seen with out headstones, but what a peaceful place. Love the scene with the pond and geese. The goats and lamb are so cute...I wouldn't have resisted either feeding them.

  16. Glorious countryside. And, evidently so much to do that wouldn't strain the purse.... You've mentioned the Playhouse before, but nary a word about attending. Do you? Hugs!!
