SILLY SYMPHONIES

As we hear the chimes at midnight and bats flutter from a belfry, as a hound howls at the moon, and black cats brawl on the tombstones, skeletons spring to life in the classic Silly Symphony from 1929. Just in time for the holiday!

  1. This kind of stuff still gives me nightmares. There is something so totally creepy about the animation from back then. The movement makes my skin crawl. There is absolutely nothing like it today.

  7. It was the very first Silly Symphony, in fact. Walt Disney wanted to prove he a success without Mickey.

  10. I agree with Deedles.....so simple, but creepy as hell. Something so simple, but more effective than the modern day cartoons.

  12. Well, the man had to leave Mickey behind at some point.... The older animation is, in some instances, of better use.
Hope you had a glorious weekend. Hugs!
