THE LIEBSTER AWARD FROM ANNE MARIE....

Why you didn't think I forgot did you Anne Marie?
A while back...a few gin soaked nights ago,  like back in December , wonderful blogger pal and Saturday Night Dance Party Queen,  Anne-Marie, over at From My Brain to My Mouth passed along a fun blog award to myself. With all my holiday post and such it was a crowd month. So I thought we'd interrupt drag history for this post! And I truly thank you dear for the lovely award!!!!!

The award is the Liebster Award. I'm to answer Anne Marie's questions and then tell you 11 things about myself and pass along to 11 other bloggers, but I think I'll pass along to anyone and all who would like to answer all or any questions in the comments or on your own blog.

So grab a cock-a-tail and lets rip....

The Questions:

Which literary genre do you prefer - mostly thriller or murder mystery. I also enjoy a good autobiography. I just finished Quentin Crisp's The Naked Civil Servant.

Why did you start blogging - My very good friend and sister Mame, aka David Dust was the one to inspire to start. I have met some swell people since. I never thought I'd still be blogging all these years later. I love to share all sorts of things .

Order or Chaos - order

Where would you like to live right here in Bucks County where I'm at. I LOVE IT!  It's a weird mix of Twin Peaks, meets Queer as Folk, meets Stepford Wives, meets Paranormal. But if I had to live somewhere else, it would have to be a location by the seaside or perhaps down south...like Argentina!

Starry sky or sunset - Starry Sky....Hard to believe, but I could easily be a nocturnal creature, I love the night and a dark sky filled with stars.

Better the paper book or rather the e-book - Call me old fashioned, but I love the feel of the paperback, hardback or magazine in my hands. I still like the newspaper on my breakfast tray when the houseboys bring it up. A e-book doesn't have the same feel on the tray as the paper.

What is the writing forI mostly blog to release further musings in my mind as another way to let ideas and thing swirling in my head out. I also enjoy sharing things in my life and enjoy, and topics across the board. I'm far from a writer though, that's for sure. And I have to say, I have met some swell people from blogging too.

What do you think about social networks - I guess if they work for some their fine. Blogging is the only one I'm on, in addition  to Pinterest, as I use it for pictures I enjoy. But as far as the others, I simply don't have the time, as again...old fashioned. I'm not technological by any means. And you all know how I feel about the damn hashtag thing!!!!!!!!

TV or not TVBoth. While I only watch about 7-8 new shows, I do enjoy watching the reruns on my public tv stations. I enjoy my BBC comedies, Doc Martin, Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries, Grantchester , Father Brown and of course, Downton Abbey. But I also have on TCM a lot, and the other half the time I have on my classical music station WRTI, in the evening for classical and jazz.

Favorite food - Chinese, Thai, Indian, seafood, Mexican,

Favorite music genres - House and dance music, classical, jazz, swingers and big band, Lounge, and pop
Now 11 random things about moi-

I strongly and firmly believe I was left behind from another time, or born in the wrong time. I would love if life was still in the Golden Era, or better still, the Edwardian Period.

I have a very colorful family background on my Dad's side of the family, it was like a family with money on one of those soaps. And on my mother's side, I'm distantly related to Aaron Burr.

I come from a very artistic and musically inclined family.

I LOVE Greek Mythology.

I am a huge sex manic. While I do joke about the houseboys, I do enjoy the company of the same few guys in my life. I'd say I'm borderline insatiable. Being careful is the key. Is there a thing of too much sex? And when no one is around, I'll take matters into my own hands, sometimes two times a day.

I could and have eaten pizza everyday.

While I don't mind heights, I want to go up in a hot air balloon for Christ sake, I get anxiety attacks and white knuckles when driving over very high bridges. Have no idea why.

I can be very, major OCD!!!! It drives people nuts at work.

I absolutely loved comedian Rodney Dangerfield. To date, I have never had a dry eye from watching him do stand up, or in the movies. Just watching him and his facial expressions and mannerisms keeps me in stiches. Must be why I like the  the Engineer, everyone says he reminds them of him.

I adore Peacocks and would have one if my complex would allow me. But as you know the loud screeching may disturb my neighbors. Just a little bit of a minor problem. But I have oodles of peacock feathers in vases around the Casa. Like Hera, it's a good way to keep an eye on things!!!

I am a gin connoisseur. Shocking, ain't it.

  13. ....and I thought you'd completely forgotten about the Liebster award! Glad you didn't, because I learned a lot. Now that you've revealed yourself (wow, I couldn't wait) I can see that we do have a lot in common.

I won't bore you with the similarities (which, I think you already know) but I will say that I ALWAYS thought I was born at the wrong time, in the wrong century. I never belonged in "modern" times.

Doc Martin, Downton Abbey, TCM - - YES!!
