AUTUMNAL MOOD AT THE CASA

This past weekend really brought about some cooler temps finally, and it feels like fall has arrived...at long last. It won't be long now before yours truly will start to hibernate, but at least not until after the holiday season. The autumn touches have really set in at the Casa. Grab a cock-a-tail and lets peek at some of the latest changes for the season.....

The apothecary jars always seem to be a favorite of yours....

I do believe this cow bird was falling head over heels for Matilda, who has landed this year..... he will be mighty disappointed when he learns she's a fake!
Meanwhile the three stooges were devouring seed......
All the ingredients for my first soup of the season and my personal favorite...cream of cauliflower...
The black cat twins made an appearance this year. Guarding the libations don't you know!
Some of the other seasonal touches around the abode.....
Buster takes a afternoon fall sunning. He will move with the sunbeam also as it goes across the room. He is a sun lover like his Mistress.....
Come nightfall, the place is all aglow with candlelight......
In the boudoir I have since put to bed all the crème flowers and replaced with ....
Just like Hera, the peacock feather is a sign of the Casa du Borghese. I must keep a watchful eye on all of you! On the bedside some lovely sugar cones from the Dame Courtney.
I was even in the spirit of things over the weekend and broke out my orange...yes orange Converse All Stars for the season, along with cashmere sweaters! Let's not discuss the furs vaults yet.
This time of year I always switched back to my warming nightcap du jour....a fine ginger liqueur. It will warm you from head to cockles!!!!

So all are welcome....readers, guest and spooks alike!
There now....are we all lit?

  2. were those sugar cones in your jeans? ;-)

and the black cat twins are not good watchcats...the booze disappears faster than a vampire at a mirror around them!

I LOVE the casa's decorator (in a pure and chaste way, of course)...

  6. I said it once, I'll say it again, you have a most welcoming and warm pied de terre my darling. Such nice touches. I have somewhere packed up the same pumpkin decoration that is in your wreath. That has got to be antique! And that soup sounds heavenly......ill be right there.

  11. My, you do go all out in celebration of the seasonal changes. Very lovely. (Also very lovely is that bulge which draws the eye in the picture of the orange sneakers - well, it drew MY eye, anyway! Apparently everything about the Lady Borghese is breathtakingly beautiful!) A weekend with you and the Houseboys would be a perfect delight!
