Christmas Touches From the Abode

There now, are we all lit? The candles that is. After this weekend the Mistress even fore went her nightly glass of wine, Just couldn't do. The only thing I did today was go to market to get some fresh pine and place a order for my New Year pork roast. But I thought I would share the rest of the holiday finery from around the abode here. You will notice it is flaming around here. I LOVE candles and my supplier makes the best selling ones around. The tree is really the most time consuming thing that I do around the house. The rest is mostly vases and apothecary jars filled with glass balls and fresh pine laying about. And who doesn't like to play with balls! The above picture is the cock-a-tail table with some berry branches and my Christmas Pyramid which as you know, I love them! And I have done a whole post on them that you can read here.
I have two of them now and I think it may be fun to collect them. I love to watch it spin, and the woods and details are really something.

A sconce in the living room with a touch of pine.

On top of the bookcase.

On the end table.

On the kitchen table. Here I have one of those cheap, crappy Swedish Angel chimes, you know the one you touch the wrong way and the whole thing falls apart? And that you now find for like 3 bucks! I love it though, as it reminds me of when I was a wee one still at the ancestral home!

The next two are the bedroom shots. I love the iron work of the lantern and the patterns it makes from the design on the wall behind. And can I tell you about the smell of all these candles? Wonderful.

And these are the apothecary jars on the kitchen island that I did a little different this year. I used only some of the balls and mixed some fake snow in one, used natural pine cones and seed pods and berries in the other and a mini tree for two cardinals to perch. I love how these turned out.

So as you can see I really don't do too much to decorate. I really love a natural feel to it and not to much clutter. But before going to bed it take 20 minutes to go around blowing out candles so I go to bed breathless! Tootles!
