MEANWHILE....

...on a drizzly day at the Casa du Borghese, even overcast the Magnolia adds some beauty.

Beyond the doors and caught on spycam...

As you can see, Buster Bolfig is busy "guarding" the wine. While by the looks of Sophie Lucille, she must have just read Debs's latest post about crocs.
More likely how to get them and chew the hell out of them.

  2. Okay, so I'll make that a double gin, with bromide, for you and a chewable Croc for Sophie. My penance!

    1. You have no idea how I have looked for a chew toy that looks like a croc! She would destroy it.

How much wine did Buster drink?
And Sophie Lucille is all kinds of adorable.

  5. Magnolias! My favourite of all flowering trees - we used to make a "pilgrimage" to Kew Gardens every April just to wallow in their glory (we haven't renewed our membership this year, however, so we'll miss them and have to make do with ones in various gardens hereabouts). Jx

    PS Drunk dogs! Love 'em.

    1. Mine too Jon!!!! They , alas...last the least amount of time of all the flowering trees. Next up is our weeping cherry and two dogwoods. So many things waiting their turns.

    2. I agree with both of you boys. I think magnolias must be the prettiest of all flowering trees. The blooms are so gorgeous and the color?!?!? But like you said Mistress, they last for the shortness of time...

  10. What a chuckle at Buster and Sophie! Hell, I will buy her crocs to rip up and shred. I detest those things.

  11. Thank you for sharing a little of your season with us! The magnolia tree is stunning. And the pups are the cherry on top. I see Buster is busy with the guarding.

  12. It doesn't look/feel like spring here this morning, so those pictures were welcoming! Sophie Lucille's pose and face are cracking me up.

  13. Ahhhh, these are such pretty photos. I just love them. Spring temps have arrived here, but not beautiful flowers yet, so I really appreciate you posting these...and those cute pups. They have the right idea.

  17. Looks like Buster and Sophie survived Hanz & Franz, though poor Buster appears to be in full recovery mode, LOL! Sophie looks sweet with her new haircut too -- we girls always feel better after a trip to a salon for a new 'do and mani-pedi!
