WEARIN OF THE GREEN........

....... for Saint Patrick's Day of course.
And drinking of the green.....
I do love me a Shamrock Shake and many know I'm obsessed with these things. I have had 12 of them since they arrived! I hope everybody enjoys their St Patrick's Day. I heading out later  tonight to meet a good friend for her birthday and she wanted to have it at the Raven Resort here in New Hope...who was I to decline....maybe I'll even find a pot o gold.

Now how's bout some Finian's Rainbow  to set the mood. And with Portuguese subtitles yet.
☘ A Saint Patrick's Day classic of course.☘

  5. You do wear green well, darlin'. My skin is the same color as a vanilla wafer, so that shade of green would make me look like I had jaundice.
I love Finian's Rainbow. My favorite song in it is That Old Devil Moon. Here's hoping you won't get Ogled in your dreams tonight :)
I do like your colorful package wrapper.

    3. @Agnes Goldberg-DeWolfs, I know, right? Such a beautiful, soulful rendition of that song. I love his voice but that hair, ugh! Even his speaking voice is very sexy.

  9. Mistress...you got the senior stateswoman here flustered again. But must admit your svelte, but I'm flustered none the less.

A really enjoyable heart-warming movie and song and singing. Loved the dance too. Fred Astaire - such class, a true legend. Happy St.Pats Day

  10. I have to ask... did you at least once during those twelve visits to Mickey D's sing "My milkshakes bring the boys to the yard"? I know I'd be humming that at least once.

I'm watching racing, and I may take a little shopping break during it. Enjoy your weekend!

  16. It's me again. Since I have never, ever had a Shamrock Shake, you had me wondering what it tastes like. I looked it up and, my oh my, I wished I could've tried the original 1970 version. The original was lemon/lime with vanilla ice cream and lemon/lime sherbet. YUM! I was 14 in 1970, and we were Jack-in-the-Box people when we could afford it.
I suppose I can try the mint version as long as there are no crunchy cookie like things in it. I hate crunchy cookie like things in ice creamy stuff!
I usually just go for the strawberry shakes. Vanilla is kind of blah, and Mickey D's chocolate shakes taste gross.
I'm through with the essay, now.

    1. No Deedles, there is no cookies pieces in it. And the mint is only very lightly added. I don't know what it si with these, but I can't get enough.

    2. Maddie, if you don't binge on other shakes, just these, maybe you have a mint addiction. Just a random thought. Oh, dear, now I'm picturing you rolling around on mint leaves like a cat with catnip. I do believe your mint/lime colored drawers have blown a fuse in my brain. I have so little of those left!

  19. My favorite scene of this movie was at the beginning when Petula Clark sings Look To The Rainbow and How are things in Glocca Morra. There was such beautiful scenery at the beginning.

I forgot how obsessed you get with these shakes, but won't complain about these views.

  20. I just finished my drink and now I'm thirsty again.

  25. I enjoy a guy who can get behind a holiday and have fun with hot underwear and a dick shake, I mean milkshake. I love those, I had my first one this year.

Happy St Pats Day! The Shamrock Shake make me want one.

  31. In case any one is interested, I lost my Shamrock Shake virginity today. I am now sinking in a sea of regret and melancholy. My expectations were way too high. I was anticipating York peppermint patty and what I got was generic crème de menthe. That stuff tastes like dusty, minty cough syrup. How, sweet mistress, you can drink twelve of them is beyond my comprehension. Oh well, you live, you learn.

    1. I've never had a shamrock shake; doesn't look like I'mma missing anything.

    2. Believe me, Carebear, if your taste buds are like mine, old, dusty, the surviving ones are picky, then stick with the gin! You may still have regrets but they'll taste better going down.

      Delete
    3. I'll put gin in the next one and see how that tastes. I also have a recipe for homemade ones. It calls for real mint extract.

    4. @ Deedles...my stomach did hurt a bit today. I have no idea why I love them...but now since St Patrick's is over I'm done with them till next year.
