Skarlet Starlet, who hails from Atlanta, has been doing drag for roughly 3 years, though to be honest that number doesn’t feel accurate. Skarlet thinks that’s in part due to the fact that it wasn’t until recently that he started to really take it seriously. Skarlet started out like many, just fooling around and experimenting with makeup in front of a camera and now it’s turned into something so much bigger. But technically 3 years. As for what drew Skarlet to the art, he says honestly, he's always been intrigued with makeup and gender-bending people. His childhood idol was one of the biggest drag queens in the world: Marilyn Manson. Skarlet started playing with makeup at a very young age and would even wear it to class in middle school. His style is refined since, now being trashy 90’s industrial Goth roots that later manifested in the form of drag/female impersonation. It just took some time for Skarlet to grow comfortable with himself and to embrace a more effeminate side. On the drag circuit Skarlet is getting pretty good reviews, and rising fast..... and wouldn't surprise me if he shows up real soon on Drag Race.
What big eyes you have, Grandmissy! A remarkably feminine nose too.
ReplyDeleteI love the look...and the name.
ReplyDeleteI imagine the eye make-up is a signature style? It's really quite distinctive in its simplicity (compared to many others, that is). Great look!
ReplyDeleteI seen Skarlet in person.....just as flawless. She does a very mean impersonation of Lans Del Ray
ReplyDeleteShe looks fabulous!
