MYSTERY DATE WEEKEND

So I was so proud of myself to be able to keep mum about having a mystery date this weekend. You know, will you hit it off, what to wear, will they try to cop a feel, will we both like cocktail wieners??? It took a while to set it up, what with my vacations, and the three guys that currently "squire " me. So after some planning it was set in stone. Our destination of choice was in Doylestown, and what a perfect fall weekend. On the way to the joint, it was a lovely walk to the meeting place.......

one of my favorite townhomes.......

loved this! The Casa has one too, but for different use.......

Then I arrived at our destination.....Maxwell's on Main....

The perfect blend of friendly neighborhood bar, craft ales, fantastic food and great entertainment. It was also good because their Stout season has started along with their great and tasty lunch and dinner fall menus, not to mention fun atmosphere......

And now I know your probably wondering how and who the date was?!?!?

What can I tell ya, the fall weather, just a few gin and tonics, good food and even better company all conspired to make a afternoon delight.

And the mystery date was none other than blogger pal Anne Marie in Philly, or aka, The Warrior Princess. Her blog is From my Brain to My Mouth . If you haven't checked it out you must. I have met many bloggers and readers, so this wasn't the first time for me to do this. I must say, when you read her blog, she is EVERY BIT what she is on her the blog. She is downright funny as hell, a laugh that is contagious, and filled with stories galore! Not to mention is sharped tongued, just like myself!!!! I'm talking good people here. We talked forever before ordering. I also had to admire her craft of knitting as she had on one of her creations, and another she wore in as a wrap. BEAUFITUL!!!!!! Girlfriend has talent I tell ya!!! With the coming winter, I wonder if she could knit me some warm winter sport briefs to keep the boys warm? And she even brought two really big balls with her!!! So one can imagine, it wasn't long before the gin started flowing and the waitress was happy we finally ordered...

Would you look at all those gin and tonics!!!! And that was just Anne Marie's.....LOL!!!! THANK GOD I DONT DRINK!

After we were lit, we both decided on their Beer and Cheddar soup. OMG!!!!! Better than sex!!!! Oh let me NOT GET CRAZY...not that good, but pretty damn close.....

For lunch, Anne Marie went with their flatbread pizza and yours truly went with a blue burger with sweet potato fries.....

After lunch we talked a lot more on our lives, family, the Lad and all the guys that squire me, our jobs, and of course had to discuss Bob's I Ain't One to Gossip Columns and Would you Hit It post, where again, had to tell Anne Marie, one can't look at what the hunks are wearing!!!!!! After, it was time for dessert of Peach and Rum Raisin ice cream.....

What a lovely day with a wonderful woman!!!

It was a real pleasure meeting you Anna Marie....

we must do it again soon. Contrary to rumors, she was not seen heading to the Casa du Borghese, to par take of houseboys....I said I'd just send her some. Although she did take a sample of my buns home with her, with my basket! The waitress was also pleased I believe we left finally... with our mouths!!!

Your blog is so refreshing, Maddie. With all the crap we're subjected to these days, your posts are like beacons of smiles. Just knowing good people met and shared good feelings is uplifting.
