One night when out we ran into this drag queen on the street and I had to know more....
So the next night we went to see her show before heading out....and was she ever welcoming!
Servio, who is Windy Mills originator, finished his hair and make up education in 2004 and travelled to Mexico the same year. In Mexico Servio experimented with theatre and explored Drag, replacing one of the side-kick entertainers. After Servio received his first applause as Drag Queen, he became addicted to the spotlight and Windy Mills was created. During that year Windy evolved to co-star in the new Palm Theatre-Bar Production “The Wednesday night Show”
In the exciting summer of 2005 Windy returned to Holland where she wowed the Judges and the crowd with her original and typical “Windy” Performance of the Drag Queen favourite ‘ “The Minute Waltz” By Barbra Streisand. A year later Windy Mills joined the drag group ‘The Fluffergirls’ and together they performed everything ranging from Dreamgirls to Hairspray. 2008 started with a blast as the Fluffergirls premièred “The Fluffergirls Bingo” at The Queen’s Head later that year The Fluffergirls parted ways due to unfortunate circumstances. Windy remained as presenter and organizer of the Tuesday Night Bingo’s at The Queen’s head. She gave the Amsterdam bingo it’s Glamour back, drawing a crowd to the bar.
Early 2009 Windy started cooperation with Malenka Productions. For Malenka Windy created customized bingos and acts for specific parties and events. Windy also starred as elegant extra in the Dutch blockbuster ‘Komt een vrouw bij de dokter…’. And had a Hamburger named after her at “The Getto” In 2010 Windy Mills starred and co-produced the official Amsterdam Pride 2010 PR commercial and did a non-profit appearance, as a spokesperson for the AIDS Fund, during their campaign at the world famous Amsterdam Canal parade. Windy bedazzled all with a trapeze act as ‘Trapeze travestiet’ at the ‘Nichtencircus’. In the nearby future Windy will continue to expand her horizon even further and will go where no Drag Queen has gone before according to her!!!!! Thank you for the pleasure gurl!!!
Very nice.....she is so cute and I love the name.
ReplyDeleteThe Fluffergirls, eh? LOL! Windy looks delightful!
ReplyDeleteShame we're only there for a weekend, not on a Tuesday, otherwise we'd be heading straight for the Queen's Head! (We'll be there anyway, no doubt, as it's one of our favourite bars...) Jx
