Why I'm Fine.........
....... thanks for asking and glad to be back! What a busy time it has been!!!! The Mistress has been a busy bird lately and can say I have been enjoying the banquet of life! I'm back, and cool, calm, and collect and enjoying a lovely cock-a-tail! What have I been up too? Well, the weather has been extremely beautiful, so I have taken my carcass outdoors to enjoy the warmer temps already with runs around the lake. I also enjoyed a set -up date with a handsome Asian lad, who's name is Koy.
A good time was had, and we have already said we will have a repeat performance, errr, I should say date!!! Then there was the Mother's birthday which she had no idea I was coming to visit with her. I made her a lovely Sunday brunch with bottomless Mimosa's. Yes dear ones, we were pretty lit!
Music has also been part of my absence of late. I was treated to a wonderful concert at the Whitaker Center to see Zuill Bailey who is widely considered one of the premiere cellists in the world. His rare combination of celebrated artistry, technical wizardry as well as his engaging personality has secured his place as one of the most sought after and active cellists today. He was joined by Awadagin Pratt who is a Pittsburgh native and graduate of the Peabody Conservatory of Music, is an award-winning musician who performs regularly at distinguished festivals and concert halls throughout the world. It was an amazing hour and half spent listening to their selections of masterpieces for cello and piano by Beethoven, Brahms and Schumann.
Work was another busy week, once again. I also have started a free lance interior design project for a client, which was also eating at my week, and in addition, taking on a charity project through work called Bag Hunger. We are hoping to raise somewhere around 10,000lbs of food for a learning center for children that runs on strictly donations of money, and food. In some cases, at this center, it's the only meals these kids get, and time spent being read and taught too, as their parents are really hurting to make ends meet. We are also donation time to help organize the place for them, do some housekeeping and building cleaning, handy man projects, painting, and spending time with the kids. So far we have been overwhelmed with support with store associates wanting to help, and the company to matching all our money donations!!! It's great to lend a hand.
This weekend it was off to Balitmer, the Mistress was away with a long overdue time spent being squired by J, who after a few, confessed his love yet again. Oh dear. And we were joined by the ever cute Harrisburg Uptown Boys. The day was spent drinking and then touring the Aquarium in the Inner Harbor which you can read about soon on Gals About Town, and then drinking some more. The weekend went pretty well, and J settled down eventually and dropped the subject of seriously dating. The Mistress loves her boys, but am more in love with the life in them!!!
While enjoying the Saint Patty's festivities, most of the table ordered pitchers of this milky looking drink, but I just couldn't do it.
I went with a mint cooler. Made with what else....gin!
It was a lovely time being out, but after so many mint coolers and then switching to gin, I could only remember so much from the evening, but I'm told a good time was had by all, and I kept most of my clothing on!!! The Mistress was just a wee, tad bit hung yesterday and what a loooooong trip home back to the Casa du Borghese. Nothing worse when driver can't maintain a steady speed, making the Mistress dizzier than normal. After resting up, it was back to work today. In between all this chaos was a dinner with the ex-Boy-Toy and some shopping, dinner and drinks with the Lad, and a drag show. Now after being gone, off and on, I have a slew of blog reading to catch up on and track down that wily Cali-Boi, who I understand has been full of mischief. Tootles!

ReplyDeleteSound like a liquored fabulous time was had by all.
ReplyDeleteWell, you.
I kid.
All.
And by all I mean you.
PS love the music, and Zuill Bailey is adorkable.
yes I had a feeling you would like him Bob. And I do think all was there. I think. Who knows!
DeleteMistress how do you know if your coming or going!!! And could you assemble a score card of the suitors for us? It's getting like the United Nations! Sounds like you had a wonderful time. Now sit still please.
ReplyDeletewell, I'm no where near half way through my United Nations collection, but thank you for your noticing of it.
DeleteI really love the vinatge add. How Mother and Baby picked up!!! Is that what your mother did? Well that explains the rest!!! Your so funny, lol!
ReplyDeletewhy yes, the malt and the hops were quite comforting at times, althought I always prefered pilsners more.
DeleteMistress, no wonder you haven't been blogging lately! That J and you must be a roit. I would love to be a fly on the wall around you too! And the dating continues I see......stay tuned.....
ReplyDeleteyes HE is a regular roit, but could use a gag from time to time! Or I need another drink.
Deletethe men of the past present and future all here! You are a talented minx and juggler, I'll say that! But could you squeeze one more to do in there?
ReplyDeleteI say why waste time, just throw all the time lines together! and there could always be more.
Deletewow you have been busy and sounds like you have had a lovely time of it. Happy Birthday to mom as well.
ReplyDeletexoxo
thank god for the houseboys, there was much laundry to be done and cakes to make!
DeleteThat mint cooler looks delish! Sounds like you took all the bust activity in stride and I commend you on helping our own here! Cheers to you Mistress!
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous, you saucy minx!
ReplyDeletei'll take that as a complement my sweet!
DeleteBehr- I think sauced would be a better term here! I was wondering where the ehll you were! Too many men and not enough time more like it! Yes you found me, and up to no good ;)
ReplyDeleteWell I didn't actually hear anything was "up"
Deleteyes Caliboy, I tend to agree, sauced would be better!
DeleteOh..... how I yearn for a gulity weekend like such! As you know I love Zuill Bailey and his musical style as I said about your review. A treat to see him! And poor William, if he saw that God awful drink in that vessel he would feel quite ill!
ReplyDeleteyes, I couldn't even barely view the said vessel! That cock-a-tail was an insult to every delicacy of my nature.
DeleteHa! "The malt in the beer supplies nourishing qualities that are essential at this time, and the hops act as an appeitizing stimulating tonic" And it still continues.
ReplyDeleteOh well, there you have it. I've finally figured out why I'm the way I am. My mother, being the hippy she was, smoked pot with me instead of drinking beer. I must inform her of her error the next time I see her....

p.s. I can tell you no true Irishman would be caught dead drinking that horrid looking concoction....
Boy your busy! I hear Zuill Bailey and Awadagin Pratt are increidible together. I would love to see them live and in person as I play the cello. He is just amazing.
ReplyDeleteMistress, if your only going to be using the Casa from time to time, can I have your main boudior quarters? And some houseboys for my disposal?
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering if you ever sleep!?! And can I have some of your dating tips!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you made it home safe and sound. And I assume you're going back out tomorrow?? ;-)
ReplyDeleteI went back Monday and girl it wasn't pretty!
DeleteI need to lie down.
ReplyDeleteYou have been a very busy Mistress! Thanks for catching up with your fans.
