What!!!! I can't believe you have never seen her in a movie? She was one of Hollywood's best dancers right next to Cyd Charisse. I adored her over the hipness...of everything
That's why I've never heard of her. I am not a film person but a book person as you may have guessed and I'm currently munching a violet gin chocolate. Books or chocolate? It's books every time.
Back when I was around nine or ten ('65, '66) my little tween eyes thought that Jane Withers (Josephine the Plumber in those Comet commercials) was Ann Miller after she got older. Silly me. I preferred Cyd Charisse as an all-around dancer, but nobody could beat Ms Miller in taps! Well maybe Eleanor Powell, but that's nit picking. It's surprising she never started fires with the sparks from those shoes! I can't identify with the hair, though. My mood? Yesterday, Cleopatra Jones. Today, Moms Mabley. *Sigh*
Mom's Mabley!!!!! LMAO!!!! Ya'll cracking my up today with these comments. Oh I love Cyd just as much as Ann Miller. Those two had to be hands down the best female dancers in Hollywood.
Oh. My. Gay. Gawd. She's FAB. Looking her up right now. I gotta feel that beat, too! And I'm at a 2 today cause I'm working from home. A shitload of ice and snow are gonna be covering the roads and I didn't have to go to the office.
I am a firm #6 today... I simply must take up as much room as possible... fill you all up, I will. Kizzes.

#4 has always been my lofty goal.
ReplyDeleteI’m not pictured. I’m Ann Miller’s hair without the wigs and extensions.

ReplyDelete“Too bad about Ann Miller.”
ReplyDelete“Why? What happened to her?”
“She fell down and broke her hair.”

DeleteHad my friend remained in Hollywood instead of coming to Vegas, she would've given both Cyd and Ann a run for their money. 😎
