NEW AMERICAN SPRING

Pete Buttigieg, mayor of South Bend, Ind, officially announced his presidential bid on Sunday afternoon. I couldn't be any happier with this news. I wasn't really sold on to many candidates on either side.  I liked some, but there was something about a few that bothered me...not a complete sell on any of them.

I have been on Pete's bandwagon for some time following him on instagram. I may even pen a letter telling him  he has given me faith and new hope in polictians again, as I was getting distain for both sides.
May sanity, dignity, morality, civility, humanity, humility, knowledge, equality for all... and love prevail. He is fit for the 21st century : a US navy vet with a beautiful mind and heart : pure American talent ! Great speaker, calm, cool, collect, and manners. SANITY MAY RETURN AT LONG LAST!!!!

It's time to get that fat toad out of Washington before the country gets warts.

  1. That is great news!!!! I hadn't heard yet. I have been in the corner of Sen. Kamala Harris and former Rep. John Delaney. Harris can come across with a tad of a temper I sense. She needs a bit of polishing, but I hope one of these three ends these miserable embarrassing times for the USA.

  2. Let old men dream dreams of the good old days. Let young men see visions of a greater new day. I support Pete's vision.

Class, Sophistication, a veteran, a Rhodes Scholar, intelligent, compassionate, articulate, a great command of the English language and seven others, full sentences, coherent policies. If Trump is the bacterial infection, this man is the antibody. Make America Smart Again. And equal for all.

  4. Seems like a decent honest person; after Trump, that in itself is inspiring and a huge upgrade.

  6. One of the most exciting candidates in the last 50 years. Amazing man. If people don't see a difference between him and the current state of things, their under a rock, and should just sink with the country.

I have always been a very liberal Republican...and have been disgusted with the party of the last 10 years at least, but never like currently. Trump is a disgrace This is the face of the new era! Rock on Pete! Rock on! Well rounded with so much to offer. I am even going to re register democratic just to vote for him in the primaries.

  9. I like this guy ever since I saw him on State of the Union on CNN. He sounds like such a practical guy. Despite his education and background he doesn’t come across as a pretentious self important grandstander like Beto O’Rourke or Cory Booker. Neither does he sound like some pie in the sky left wing nut. Kamala Harris tends to stereotype to much, and at times comes across with a chip on her shoulder and Elizbeth Warren doesn't even have a chance...Bernie...just so old. Pete is it!

  11. What an exciting individual. Level headed, committed to service, bright and open minded. I think he will go far. My confidence in the next generation is restored: they’re not all what can you do for me.

  15. This guy is fantastic. From the first time I heard him speak more than a month ago, he's been my guy! Not sure the country is ready for a gay couple in the WH - but, then again, I didn't think the country was ready for a black First Family, either.
He's got my vote - noit because he's openly gay, but because he's smart, even-keeled, and he knows the issues.

  17. Oh, you mean a president that is intelligent, articulate, cultured and young? Yes, please.
So many qualities. And when he hugged and kissed his husband after he announced his bid? Little gay me died.
    Died.

    XOXO
