CHIC, CLEAN LIVING

Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent. Two of my favorite hottie interior designers. Not only good looking, but very talented. I admire their clean chic lines, and no clutter interiors. I also like an interior with newness mixed with vintage finds and old family antique pieces. So no surprise I love their style. Nate and Jeremiah have unveiled their biggest labor of love to date besides their new digs,in the October issue of Architectural Digest..... their 5-month-old daughter, Poppy, in the family’s new apartment in New York City. Even cuter... Poppy joined her proud dads for the issue shoot, showing the world just how much she’s grown since making her debut. I just loved the spread, as these two gave me some wonderful ideas for some redecorating I'm in the planning stages of here at the Casa du Borghese. It's interesting where life takes one. My original background and degree is in interior design. and while I still do freelance, I never expected to land years later in visual display!!!! I guess it's the best of both worlds. But how stunning is this apartment????

  1. Yeah, pretty fab! It will look different once they baby-proof everything, the kid has her toys everywhere and she's barfed up on the furniture a few times.

  3. I am so happy for Nate in particular. It is still fresh in my mind the loss he took over ten years ago. He has carried on and made a new life for himself, a happy one, and he is bringing that joy to his daughter and partner, too.

  6. Loving the interiors and the rooms! I am so happy that Nate has found a person to love and now has a child of their own. That's being said I find them both intense snobs.

why is it that gay guys know how to style up a person or a house? my boyfriends have FABU living spaces; I have whatever hither and yon.

  8. I love the house, but I also saw a photo of their shoe closet and that's just too over the top even for a couple of rich queens.

    Imelda would be jealous.

    1. I thought the same thing about the closet, that why I purposely didn't post it or the nursery. Beautiful nursey, but was very baby like.

  10. Okay, I want that table from the Library. Yes, I do... My taste runs to clean, contemporary, and straight lines. And, though I always take heat from people who see my home for it: I have all white walls to allow the accents and artwork to be the color pops; that way art doesn't get lost amid a furious palette.

    1. I do the same thing here....all white walls and use pillows, vases and other accents for the pops of color.
