THIS EASTER.............

......is going to be a Say Something Hat Day.....

I just hope this doesn't compete with the table setting decor!!! I hope to return to regular activities at the Casa soon! I am heading to the ancestral home for Easter and a four day weekend and then another week away. In the meantime my millner is quite busy, as are the houseboys, who Ms Moorecock tells me need help with their baskets and egg hiding. Any volunteers to help them handle their eggs should report in. Now back to Easter Parade ensemble decisions..........

    1. At least this time, I don't have a lay there with a apple stuffed in my mouth, that was just humiliating.

  9. Have you ever wondered what it feels like to lay an egg? I don't know myself, but I've studied the faces of laying ostriches. They were very deadpan.

  10. Darling Maddie,

No truer word was said than 'if you want to get ahead......get a hat'!

How we loved those Cecil Beaton costumes, so perfectly worn by Audrey Hepburn, but, darling Maddie, we really do think that you should push the boat....or boater....out a little more at this joyous time of year. Think Isabella Blow and you will be right on the money!

Whatever, do have a wonderful time with the ancestors and, of course, the houseboys are welcome here any time!

    1. Well , now that you mention it, I had though of wearing a real tribe of rabbits of white upon my head, or perhaps I live swan. I shutter to think what the family would say. They already think home, with no lights on.

  11. I find Barbara Cartland's range of chapeaux to be all the hats I'll ever need. As long as I don't go anywhere that will clash with pink...

Have a lovely Easter, and don't worry about the houseboys - We'll make sure we clear up any spillages from broken eggs.

  19. Oh, my. Leaving them on their own could lead to much trouble. I volunteer to come there and oversee them all and all their activities. I could structure some things for them to keep us all plenty busy! Meanwhile, enjoy your ancestral home and the trip.
