HAVE YOU MET MY NEIGHBORS?

It's never a dull moment here in good ole Bucks County. Land of the quirky, the interesting, the quaint, and the women are of special note here in "big bucks" county as sometimes it's called. And lately it's been a pearl clutcher. Here is hostess with the mostess Claire Risoldi........

Claire Risoldi, is renowned in Bucks County political circles for the lavish fund-raisers she threw for Bucks County Republicans and power brokers at her extravagant estate, Clairemont  near New Hope, which were unforgettable affairs. Claire would book bands. Occasionally she brought in performers to impersonate celebrities including Frank Sinatra or Cher. The Mummers made at least one appearance. She even held her own wedding in front of a crowd that had paid for tickets to a fund-raiser for Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick.

Clairemont after third fire

Occasionally, her well heeled and baubled guests would whisper about where Risoldi got her money, since her only known job was in her daughter's law office. She often explained that she inherited a windfall from her late husband's successful tile company. State prosecutors provided their own theory a week ago: rampant insurance fraud. The Attorney General, Kathleen Kane's Office has since charged Risoldi and several members of her family with bilking insurers out of $20 million after her mansion caught fire three times in five years. With the proceeds, prosecutors allege, the Risoldis bought six Ferraris, two Rolls-Royces, a Cobra, another house, and $1.2 million worth of jewelry!!!!!!

Claire and family, has filed insurance claims every decade since her drapes caught fire in 1977, according to the grand jury report. And her first husband never owned a tile company - he was just a foreman for one, the report said. Since then she filed for two more fires, a burglar strike, netting Risoldi a $200,000 insurance payout for jewelry and furs,  and then the house started catching fire again. Three more times between 2009 and 2013, investigators found the causes "undetermined," although most likely electrical,  but cans of aerosol hair spray allegedly were stockpiled near where the fires had started. Not a surprise, have you seen her hair!!!!!!! After the last blaze, home security cameras allegedly show Risoldi leaving her house a minute before the smoke began to rise. At the same time she was collecting on insurance claims, Risoldi was making an impact on the local Republican fund-raising circuit. Then in 2013 after her last home fire, Risoldi claimed that $10 million worth of jewelry had disappeared, and she blamed volunteer firefighters, according to the presentment. How appalling in that!!!!!!!!

Since then her current husband has committed suicide last Thursday, and the Bucks County's president judge has requested that a jurist from outside the county oversee the insurance fraud case against the politically connected Claire and family.  From District Attorney David Heckler, to judges, most had to recuse from their means from investigating Claire Rosoldi due to potential conflict of interests, or were recipients of fund raiser monies,  and has since been sent to Kathleen Kane's office.

It's beyond me why there has been no Real Housewives of Bucks County yet.

  1. This has been all over the papers and news!!!! Just unbelievable what she has done. I have long said with Bucks Countys community of the super rich, Martha Stewart housewives, the gay community, the eccentrics, and the new age and witchcraft people this would make for one hell of a interesting show!!!!!!!!!

  2. I'm guessing that part of that $20 mil went toward her hair salon bill and plastic surgery?

  6. What was going on in these people's minds? Delusions of grandeur? They had it all, power and money and prestige, but it wasn't enough. A malignant affluenza and greed has destroyed their lives. AG Kathleen Kane seems to be after some Big Fish! No wonder there are forces trying to unseat her.

  12. Considering the amount of money we're talking about, I'm sure someone working for Chubb would know all the details we're not getting in this case.

  13. Hopefully they'll all be living in another Big House without all the amenities they currently have. Her reach must have been deep, if no one in the county can handle the case.

  14. Forget Real Housewives of Buck Country, sounds like she'll soon be starring in Orange is the New Black!

  19. Darling Maddie,

What delicious gossip in your neck of the woods! It does sound as if it has all the making of a television series. Could you be the producer/ director to bring it all to our screens?

It is a wonder that Mrs Risoldi did not catch alight herself. It looks as if clouds of noxious and inflammable fumes would be emanating from that hair. Just how will she manage in a prison cell? We look forward to future news bulletins.......nothing so exciting about the neighbours here.....

    1. I will say, the town where I live is quiet charming. It very English countryside, with a huge hay community, with the country club set throw in, a pinch of witchcraft crowd, a dose of suburbia family and a drag and trans population. And everybody gets along. Your right, this has been exciting news. And her hair is indeed the talk of town. They even think her hair has its own ozone hole!!!!!
