MY SHAMROCK SHAKE

As I said yesterday on the Mood Board, I'm not full Irish, but only a quarter Irish so that must count for something right? Tonight...time for my corned beef and cabbage dinner tonight!! It will slow cook while Im at work, and I have two friends coming in for dinner tonight. But a long-time reader here will tell you, that the Mistress LOVES Shamrock Shakes!!!! Alas this year I 've only enjoyed one, but rest assure I'll have another one today at some point! I present my Shamrock Shake!

And if we are not warmed up yet , my dear gin blossom friend across the pond Jon, reminded me it's the perfect time and day for the lovely Gardiner Brothers and their painted on black jeans!

Happy St Patrick's Day...indeed!

  1. Happy Saint Patrick's Day, Maddie! So how many shamrock shakes have you squirrelled away in the freezer? Since your 15 pound weight loss, you got a good working margin now, LOL!

    🍀Lá Fhéile Pádraig !🍀
Irish eyes are smiling and ready to party like a Banshee :)
The Irish side of our family came to America in 1846 from Cork Ireland.
They were not ones who were going to starve to death due to the Great Famine, as they heard of innocents dying of starvation in the interior of Ireland. They knew it was best to leave their home country to survive.
The men wanted to go to Boston, but Granma Fitzgerald said the opportunities are sewn up by the Irish already there and insisted they set sail for an American territory called California. So the whole Fitzgerald clan boarded a great sailing ship that took them across the Atlantic to the Caribbean shores of Central America. It was not an easy voyage as one of the children died and was buried at sea. :(
When the great sailing ship set anchor off shore, they disembarked on a rowboat that took them ashore. They then purchased tickets for a stage coach to take them to the Pacific Coast, and there boarded a clipper ship that finally brought them to San Francisco, California. My great-father always said his great-grandmother, Granma Fitzgerald, was a great matriarch and a true inspiration with her wit and wisdom. And this from a lady who had no formal education. :)

  4. I love these guys and your underwear. I had a shamrock shake once, but it didn’t do it for me. Still, the color is wondrous. Did a leprechaun houseboy take the picture? I thought it might be given the photographer’s position. Why else we the point of view be so low?
