*Silver and gold, silver and gold, Ev'ryone wishes for silver and gold- How do you measure its worth? Just by the pleasure it gives here on earth. Silver and gold, silver and gold, Mean so much more when I see Silver and gold decorations On ev'ry Christmas tree.*

Silver and gold Christmas balls as you know make me happy..... of course, my day at the spa also has me in a exceptionally relaxed, rejuvenated, and terrific mood! Come on Monday....just give me your worst. I also had my first Christmas party to attend, with some friends I hadn't seen in some time. Between the guest and libations, and mistletoe all round, all is good this Monday! And these silvery and gold wish list items make me happy too, and wanting........

Gold guiled birdcage, course I'd need a bird first......

How cuuuuuute is this silver hare bank from Michael Arman?

Gold Tom Ford cuff links....need I say more?

Silver spiked Christian Loubantins....for the flashy party....

Who doesn't need a conversation clutch, from Judith Leiber, in the shape of a gold egg?
Must have this shaker..........

But alas, if none of these end up under the tree, can I have at least the Midas houseboy?

Who couldn't use him right? How fun at the parties! Too much dreaming? I really need to grow up huh? Ohhhhhhh'well... tomorrow is another day...

The Big, Gay, Fabulous, Drag Give-Away

Were just getting all kinds of festive here at the Casa du Borghese. First were hosting a Christmas Tree Showing of your fine trees, so if your interested in showing us your finery, please send away. Now the Mistress is in the mood to give. What else is new right? I love a good coffee table book, and drag queens, and if you do too, then you definitely must take part in the give away. “dr.a.g.” featuring photography from some of the best photograpghers and faces of drag you’ll recognize from all over, including right here at A Day with the Mistress Borghese. From queens from far and wide, to national and international, to RuPaul's Drag Race, to even your local town, there all here....... Lady Bunny, Jackie Beat, Coco Peru, Raye Sunshine, Miss Cotton, and many more. The man behind the production of the book is Christopher Logan, an actor you may recognize. I had my copy months ago, but have recently bought two more copies to give too, the lucky winners. The book, dr.a.g. (for dressed as girl) is a 160-page 28x28 coffee table book celebrating the beauty and diversity of drag. It features top performers shot by top celebrity and fashion photographers, to raise money for independent film production. I always enjoy looking at mine, while being queeny of course with my purple fur scarf on.............

Here are some shots from the book, followed by the rules..........

Now for the rules. Pretty simple. 1- Make a comment to this post and if you want, tell us who your favorite queen is. 2- Since the books were more expensive, you must be a follower. Those are the only two rules. Next Friday, the names will be placed in my handy dandy cock-a-tail shaker and two names will be pulled, with the winners being announced next weekend, December 14. Good luck to all, and trust me, you will LOVE THIS BOOK!!!! Now please excuse the Mistress as she is leaving for a weekend get-away and a spa visit! Tootles!

Grande Dame

Not much needs to be said of the stunning retro queen....Connie Carlysle.....WHAT A LOVELY VINTAGE LOOK.................

Lighting a Fire........

.......Cos' I had another date with Mr Fire Fighter! If you must know... I don't mind him getting a bit 'creepy' on this date! ...I really don't mind it at all...... blushing.....

I met the Mr. Fire Fighter this past summer at the Raven Resort and had one date which went very well. This past weekend we went for number date 2! I thought OK,...still single & so ready to mingle! So we went into Doylestown for the town's Holiday kick off weekend and dinner at the fabulous Honey. It was a good date, except he kept giving me facts about fire hose, and how there harder to handle than you think, the different sizes, what there made of and the proper way to hold them and use them.

It was all very interesting, but I thought, sister, I know about hoses, you preaching to the choir.
