  7. So wonderful. I used to love seeing the cardinals vibrant against the snowy background in the northeast. You have some beautiful houseguests.

  10. Pic # 4 looked like a weird fake owl (let your eyes go out of focus slightly), until I noted the comment about there being two doves.

  11. Such colourful birds! We've been enjoying our Robin singing away, and the little Wren hopping about all over (and under) our pots searching for little creepy-crawlies to eat. Jx

    1. Our robins traditionally migrate....but i saw a lone one about a week ago. Must have been confused. They do love the creepy crawlers.

    1. It's like a bird arboretum here. I generally see cardinals everyday. It's rare to see bluebirds this time of year

  17. I have never seen cardinals in the wild as they aren't indigenous to this part of Canada, though they look like such a cheery bird to spot in mid-winter! My neighbourhood has acquired a flock of 14 wild quail and every time I see them scurrying across the snow, I think of you and your houseboys, LOL!
