Such colourful birds! We've been enjoying our Robin singing away, and the little Wren hopping about all over (and under) our pots searching for little creepy-crawlies to eat. Jx
I have never seen cardinals in the wild as they aren't indigenous to this part of Canada, though they look like such a cheery bird to spot in mid-winter! My neighbourhood has acquired a flock of 14 wild quail and every time I see them scurrying across the snow, I think of you and your houseboys, LOL!
Merry Christmas, you bird watcher you.
ReplyDeleteSame to you too Shirley!!!

ReplyDeleteSo wonderful. I used to love seeing the cardinals vibrant against the snowy background in the northeast. You have some beautiful houseguests.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing them when it's snowing. Even more vibrant red.
DeleteStay warm and cozy.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a Merry Christmas, and nice pictures!
ReplyDeletePic # 4 looked like a weird fake owl (let your eyes go out of focus slightly), until I noted the comment about there being two doves.
ReplyDeleteπ No owls here lately....but we do have several hawks.

ReplyDeleteOur robins traditionally migrate....but i saw a lone one about a week ago. Must have been confused. They do love the creepy crawlers.
DeleteLovely! xoxo
ReplyDeleteThey were always gorgeous to see, especially against a white and gray winter background.
ReplyDeleteAll on Christmas? Some great pictures you managed to get of them.
ReplyDeleteIt's like a bird arboretum here. I generally see cardinals everyday. It's rare to see bluebirds this time of year
DeleteI hope you had a most wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteWe have Cardinals in Arizona but don't see them that often. Hope you had a Wonderful Christmas my Friend.
ReplyDeleteI hope you and the birds had a lovely Christmas! I've never in my life seen a real live cardinal. Ver cool!
