Grande Dame

Mimi Imfurst is the most outrageous, controversial, and hysterical drag queen in the drag set, and one busy bitch! The QUEEN OF THE SCREEN, she is "must see T.V." She has starred in ABC Primetime's WHAT WOULD YOU DO? Friday nights on ABC.In January 2011, she was ready to snatch the title of AMERICA'S NEXT DRAG SUPERSTAR when she tried to own the runway as the most glamorous girl on the 3rd Season of RuPaul's Drag Race on Logo to no avail, where I swear, she is nothing like that in real life. The bitch is good I tell ya. Mimi is a 9 time GLAMMY AWARD nominee and 3 time HX DRAG QUEEN OF THE YEAR Award nominee. She has performed in Bars, Dance Clubs, Cruise Ships, on Television, Film and even 35,000 feet in the air on an airplane! In 2010 Mimi Imfurst was Kathy Griffin's opening act. Between all this, she is always ready to raise some dollars for a charity show.

No stranger to the Off-Broadway theatre scene, Mimi most recently originated the role of CHER in BOYLESQUE the Off-Broadway drag parody of the Cher/Christina movie Burlesque. Also in 2011, she played ROZ in the acclaimed Off-Broadway return of THANK YOU FOR BEING A FRIEND, the Golden Girls parody musical. She also recently starred in the sold-out run of the Off-Broadway musical RHODA HEARTBREAK as the shows title character, Rhoda Heartbreak. Prior to that she created the role of ANNE FRANKENSTEIN in the celebrated and extended Off-Broadway production of THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANKENSTEIN.

She also recently opened for Logo's/All Out Film's: ONE NIGHT STAND UP: DRAGTASTIC NYC with from L-R, Bianca Del Rio, Harmonica Sunbeam, Pandora Boxx,Hedda Lettuce and Kelly Mantle. The special will air in Winter 2012, as well as a DVD of the show.

She currently hosts weekly shows in New York City at POSH, BARRACUDA, THERAPY and in Philadelphia at G LOUNGE. For a Full Schedule Please Visit the Show Section of Mimi's Website.

A Peak at the Dragtestants

The cast of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 3 is here! While new episodes of The Greatest Show On Earth don’t actually start until January, that is no reason we can’t get all excited and put on our bitchpants and wigs for some completely superficial and wildly inaccurate video judging. These first three are wildly entertaining. What do you think of them in their formal intros?

Delta Work is one of the queens that I have seen before. She is from California and she is part of the uber successful show DREAMGIRLS. LOVE DELTA! Her interview was so personable, and adorable. She knows her strengths, admitted her weakness, dancing, and unlike a lot of the other interviews, she didn’t seem full of herself or stuck up. One flawless queen too!

LOOOOOOOOVE Mimi Imfusrt! I have seen Mimi before several times, and she is just a breath of fresh air right now here in Philadelphia at the Q Bar! I don’t know what it is with me and the big girls this season (well 2 of them at least) but I think it could be the year of the Big Queen! She is so cute, and funny in her interview. She didn’t irritate me at all, and I found myself laughing and giggling with her. She believes that drag should be over the top (AMEN!) because “If you’re not over the top, you’ll never see the other side!” One of my top 3 queens for sure! I'm hoping she takes this!!! After all, isn't this about what a drag queen should be? Were not searching for real looking women here are we?

Mariah could be the one I love…or love to hate. First off, she’s from Atlanta, and she is a Ballroom Queen. Yes she competes in the Ballroom. She is considered (or considers herself) one of the legendary performers. Mariah could be fun, for the simple reason that this diva could have some SERIOUS moves. I will be excited to see what she brings out. She should make the top five.

The Queens of Drag NYC-Ep 8-Mimi Imfurst

New York City and Philadelphia drag diva, and one of my personal favorites, Mimi Imfurst is featured here in the 8th installment and she is completely full of hilarity! Incidentally, Mimi will also be on RuPaul's Drag Race season 3. I'm thinking she will be a top contender. I have seen her several times and she is something else!

RuPaul's New Divas for the Next Race!

Over the weekend, the Mistress was playing around looking at drag related things on the interwebs and came across the season 3 of RuPaul's Drag Race! I must have missed the rumors that our queen RuPaul, suffered a heart attack! While the people at logo said she didn't have a heart attack, but she did fall ill during the taping, which had brough it to a halt, but has since started back up again. And what a line-up of queens they have this time. The Mistress knows of about 3/4 of them and I already have my personal favorite to win, but I'm not saying who! But there are some very creative queens this time round. And lots of clawing to the finish line!

Shangela is back again and is looking fine.

Venus D-Lite. The best Madonna impersonation diva the Mistress ever did see!

Raja Sutan Amrull. One Word. Fierce. She also happens to be Adam Lamberts make-up artist. Love this photo!

Mimi Imfurst. A New York and Philadelphia performer and one of my favorites!

India Ferrah, a pretty fierce diva and a hellva performer!

Carmen Carrera, the new version of Jessica Wild from last season and very stunning!

Stacey Matthews, representing the plus size girls.

Alexis Mateo. A diva with some flavor!

Yara Sofia is one talented bitch! Don't you just love the syringe needle dress.

Manilla Luzon, another of our sisters from New York with some extra spice!

Phoenix- a entertaining queen I've seen many a times and never disappointed.

Mariah The Mistress doesn't know anything about this gal, except she is from Atlanta.

Delta Work, another plus size diva to take on the other!

The Queens of Drag:NYC

Let the wig-ripping begin!

It looks like a second coming of drag again. First RuPaul will be back with a whole new cat clawing cast of queens in a second season of the RuPaul's Drag Race set to air in Febuary and now another new show is set to begin filming. Producers and reality tv stars join forces to create drag queen comedy with THE QUEENS OF DRAG: NYC. Film and TV producer Larry Kennar (L Word, Barbershop and 50 First Dates), season 4 Project Runway designer Jack Mackenroth and award-winning producer/director and owner of Colt Studio Group, John Rutherford, have come together to produce a television extravaganza called The Queens of Drag: NYC that explores and exploits the glamorous and ghetto-fabulous drag queen scene of New York City.

Drag legend Lady Bunny will reign supreme in this all-star cast of drag divas, which includes the ageless and evergreen Hedda Lettuce

uber-glam Sherry Vine

the hilarious Bianca Del Rio

In addition to these divas, they will be joined by sexpot songstress Peppermint and the classless and campy Mimi Imfurst. Newer, breakout queens nipping at their platform heels like Epiphany, Logan Hardcore, Chanda Lear and Dallas DuBois will join these ladies of illusion. The Queens of Drag: NYC will highlight all the talent and drama that is synonymous with making a living as a drag superstar in the most amazing and unforgiving city in the world. Viewers will see the real grit of drag queens’ lives in and out of drag as they try to dominate the New York nightlife scene and navigate through the struggles of making it in the shiniest, filthiest city in the world. I think it will be great. It will show some people a whole new lifestyle and just how long it takes to get ready, not to mention how hard it is for these queens to be paid to do this for a living. Multiple networks have already expressed interest in the project, and filming is slated to begin in early November. To read more and get some information, please visit www.theQueensofDrag.com. Let the wig-ripping begin!!

RuPaul's Drag Race was so good in the ratings for Logo, that RuPaul will be back for another season of dragtestants to compete for Super Model of the World. The show will start back on February 2, 2010. While it will be a some time till the queens get to the start line, Mistress Maddie's #1 Fan's contact sent him some pictures of some of the queens who are finalist to be on the show. And here are some of them.

Jennifer Dion Deville from Newport News, VA.

Ginger Sexton from Denver, CO.

Madame LaQueer from Carolina,NS.

Penny Tration from Sydney, Australia.

Hedda Lettuce from New York City.

Blaize from Williamsport, PA.

Mimi Imfurst from New York City.

Barbie Q from Minneapolis, MN.

Jessica Wild from Miami, FL.

Empress Fontaine from Toledo, OH.

Artemis Chase from Portland, OR.

I can not wait for the second season. And I only hope that Lady Bunny will be on as a judge this season. How entertaining would that be? Mistress Maddie's #1 Fan says that these fine divas are major finalist be considered to be dragtestants on the show. There are many more, but these are the ones looking up. From the pictures above, are you feeling any of them? Looks like it could be another stiff competition!
