BLACK FRIDAY

Amanda Lepore

Yesterday was a good day! The dinner went off without a hitch, and our guest here had a good time, and at one point even got teary eyed by the invite and caring of people to invite them, which then got me started. I hope they will all be safe, and I told them I read that KKKaroline Levett's own sister-in-law was arrested and now detained by ICE! What goes around, comes around I say. It was the right thing to do yesterday, and everyone sent home with leftovers, with plenty still left. I was exhausted, and happy I can sleep in today, with no work. So I'm heading back to bed. And trust me I won't be going out nor contributing to the consumerism of Black Friday. I have Black Friday here....my style.

MY LOVE...PRE PRIDE

That old, old, old pig in a wig, Lady Bunny has a new tune out just in time before Pride season starts. Actually, the Swedish producer Petter Wallenberg did the music, and the song co-written by Bun-Bun, who are joined by Uganda Rainbow Riots Choir, a country where being gay is punishable by life imprisonment or death for "aggravated homosexuality".  A good time to start Pride too. What with millions due from all over the globe for World Pride in DC next month, won't that put the administration and Party of Rot on edge and their panties in a twist?!? No time to sit this one out everybody...our rights are more than ever on the line now. I'm' not sure if you all know, but right-wing Christians in the US spent millions developing Uganda's Kill The Gays Bill, which they helped to become law. When it first passed, Ugandan citizens were urged to report suspected gays to the authorities to be put to death. My understanding is now Ugandans no longer have to report gays, but the same outcome and penalty for being gay remains. Makes me wonder if these evangelicals and right wingers were test running it before bringing it to the US. It wouldn't surprise me. The far right think tank, Family Watch International joined homophobic leaders in Africa to cook this up. The group also holds an annual National Prayer Breakfast in DC at which EVERY US president speaks...regardless of party. I remember when Obama drew criticism for not boycotting the event. Think twice about not attending a Pride this year...GO.....we are moving dangerously close to this happening here, and with an insane, unbalanced and crazed administration filled with bigoted haters and lunatics, and with no one to come to the rescue for us, but us. Anywhore...RISE UP, REACH OUT, PEOPLE ALL OVER THE WORLD!

We will have a Happy PRIDE!

LATE NIGHT-LADY BUNNY

Lady Bunny is back at it again....with her antics and hilarity...but this time she is muscling in on my man crush, Luigi Manigone, with one of the love letters, ok maybe a lust letter than I would have written. That cow!

PRIDE MOOD

My lands, what a weekend!!!! The New York City Pride was yet another packed event! Luckily the weather wasn't bad at all and it was a very enjoyable experience with me enjoying myself so much after the parade in the Village with the Clan and the Lumbersexual, who joined me at Penn Station, I got caught up in the festivities that I may have missed my train and got in very late.  Oh hell, you only live once, right? And the silly queen who sat next to me on the way back, he kept the flannel flying, and I swear didn't come up for air. I could only think of one thing that would have kept him quiet, but there were far too many people present. But glorious weekend none the less. We even got to take part in the Drag March on Friday evening, and Dyke March on Saturday, and then partook of the parade on Sunday, forgoing the festival, but heading to the Village for some libations, then the Piers for the Pride Concert. The Clan was all present, in addition to Lumbersexual, who attended his first Pride! That was exciting to be part of with him.  The concert was great, and unbeknownst to me, had an impromptu Kylie Minogue present for a 5-song performance. Across town Preston attend another music event, Lady Land Festive where the queen herself, Madonna was the headliner.  After our respective concerts, the Clan converged in the Village at the Stonewall for our traditional pride cock-a-tails, where we take a moment to toast our past LBGTQ heroes, and give toast to our current, fabulous friends and queens. The numbers were there again too. So important to get to these events and show our number I swear. If we give in and not show up, I truly think we will be cooked. Every Pride I attended so far has had huge numbers and getting larger every year, I swear. What a Pride Month!!!! Never give in...Never give Up!!!!  Some sites fromm the Pride festivities....

Rockefeller Center , I admit looked very festive.
Member of the Clan, Luiz

Start of the Dyke March

This cracked me up! Especially the Elton part.

Preach Queen!!!
Peppermint!
Drag sister and friend Nina West sang a very moving song in the Stonewall Memorial Monument.

This cow!
Clan members Kio, Holly Dae and the Lumbersexual! Whores!
I may have organism a bit when this picture came from Preston, popped up on my phone. The Queen herself, headlining the Lady Land Festival!!!!!! I was ok, we saw Princess Kylie at our concert.

After work on Friday, I even got into almost full drag for the Drag March on Friday evening in the Village. I knew I wouldn't have much time once there to get ready I went on the train just like this which got many looks. Some loved it, and others must have thought I was nuts, but a queen must do what a queen must do. The finished Pam looks were in the previous post. LOVED those lashes!!!! Oh, I did wear a shirt up. I didn't want to shock to many people after all.

Happy Gay Pride!🏳‍🌈

PRIDE MOOD

Well, I'm happy to say I survived the long weekend, barely.... and I'm sure this Monday will be an ugly one! I was joined in NYC for the blow out Gay Pride festivities, with the clan... of Mistress Maddie's #1 Fan, Preston, Christoper and his pup Cleo, Miss Moorecock, Kio and Mack. It started with All Pink Disco, a dance party at Pier 17 hosted by Trixie Mattel and Katya, continued with a drag party with me being mistaken for Big Bird, the Parade itself, which this year had a live feed on YouTube, the street festival, and drinks at the place where it all started, the Stonewall Inn and more nips and sips at sing along bar, Marie's Crisis. It was great seeing the very large numbers again, and all getting along. The thing about the gay and drag communities is that we have the ability to celebrate life in spite of being called faggots, or beaten up, not accepted, being ostracized, and not being counted as citizens. From pain, you need to create joy, because many of us have been in pain. As that is what Pride is...a celebration of pride and joy. We need to stop compartmentalizing ourselves into bears' twinks, butches, femmes, trans, tops, bottoms and those who claim they have no gender to further divide an already small community which does not have rights to equal housing and employment. And we're even barred from using the bathrooms of our choice in some states. That's a surefire way to make sure we'll never get equal rights. We need to remember that there are young member of our own tribe who have gotten nothing but soul-destroying messages from school mates, their churches and even their own families. Do they need our help? They need to see large groups of their own tribe accepting each other all year, not just at Pride time, in a festive environment so that they don't feel so alone. They need to see happy and proud gay, lesbian, transexual and every color of the rainbow folk actually liking and accepting each other AND supporting each other. I also recommend if you ever get the chance, celebrate sometime in NYC and the Village and Stonewall. It always gets me melancholy, and gets one to thinking this is where is started.

My foot might make a promo!
Loved these hotties boots.

Cheers to those trailblazers who came before us

Happy Pride Month!!!
