MOOD BOARD

This Mood Board couldn't reflect a mood any better. Have you ever had a weekend so relaxing you couldn't get out of the horizonal position on Monday? I was back in Bucks County for the weekend right before the snow hit. Caught up with Lumbersexual Saturday. The Lad was here for a visit also, as he has some family business to tend too. Having him and the Lumbersexual meet was quite something and had my mind wondering over all kinds of delightful naughty thoughts. But with the snow we had lovely winters walk in town. Almost went to Fonthill but passed. I may wonder up there today. A walk up at the lake with Lumbersexual. A most calm and peaceful walk as sunset was hitting. Some usual suspects were out. We all almost caught a movie at the County cinema, but they were closed because of the weather. I have yet been to a movie since the pandemic hit. And I got coffee in bed today from the Lad, who went back to sleep. I wonder if he knows a morning blow job gives a man more energy than a cup of coffee?

Cock-a-tails at the Salt House is always a good thing.
Bouvier knows not to be on the feeders. Caught red pawed!

NEW HOPE

One day before coming back to the ancestral home , I escaped into town since I hadn't really been over into New Hope since my delicious bakery stop. And I wanted a change from the scenery up at the lake. I was curious to see if our little river town had come back yet since the pandemic continues, and if many were venturing out. It was a glorious walk through town, since spring is awakening. I'd say,  the overall town, has about about 21 blocks to walk in all directions. I sadly counted between services, retail and the food establishments around 25 places gone. I also ran into my friend Punk Rock who owns her own shop, and she is barely hanging on, though her on-line side is keeping her afloat. Mind you, I went during the week, so it's always more quiet when tourist are gone, but it was still a bit ghost town feel. The weekends I hear are out of complete control. Hence why I go during the week. Most things, with exception to retail, are now open till 10pm and the mask mandate for outdoors is no longer enforced except for large crowds. The good news was some new places will be opening. Hence the perfect name... New Hope. It's important as always to keep our river towns of New Hope, Lambertville and Frenchtown in business and shop small local business. Who wants a world of chains? But still caught some wonderful pictures.
The Playhouse, which isn't open yet.
Pollen laying on the canal
They had the Hendricks vaccine too.
Passed Fonthill Castle on the way home one afternoon. Loved the view.
Entrance to my neighbor's farm up the road. Farmer Robin had eggs for me.
Had  a visit with Jack while there.
I like to call this shot "After Hours"

AWAKENING

I do believe the Snow Queen may have relinquished , or is getting pushed out by her sister of Spring. Last week and this week it has been nothing but sun and warm temps...today even reached 67! I went up to the lake yesterday since it was so beautiful out, and may have over done it. It's 6 miles around, and I did a double walk/run around the lake, just shy of 12 miles. Needless to say my legs and ass hurt today. I was goin to take another walk today, but I have a guy here re-screening the window screens. But yes, spring is awakening....I couldn't believe how alive the lake was...and even spotted the eagles several times.

Very pleased with this shot. I show several Blue Heron yesterday. Right before this, the heron was eating a fish, which a mink, I think, was going to try and snag from him. But the shot wasn't meant to be.

Said mink.A first!
I have never seen a mink at the lake before. I thought I had to much gin.

Back at the Casa, caught a glimpse of the little wren outside near the bedroom window. I am happy to report I spotted several Blue Birds too....finally. Too darn quick to get a picture. Someone must have something in the feeders they like.

Yes indeed, I also spotted little onion crocus, I call them,  blooming.
They made me happy.

Clarice Starling on the window sill. Between them and the grackles, it was very lively.

While all the racket was going on I enjoyed a breakfast before the run. If I keep eating breakfast like this I'll need to do a 12 mile run everyday...but I don't eat lunch.

And a 50 second video of the spring communing arboretum...

MOOD BOARD

I'm am delighted. Another 7" of snow early Sunday morning and an excuse for another winter walk for some pictures....I love me some winter,  and the beauty of it, as it cleans the world in white again. Cold nights and pale moons.  Let's keep it winter for some time shall we? It always reminds me of my favorite story of Narnia. "The Queen of Narnia, though she has no right to be queen at all...And she can turn people into stone and do all kinds of horrible things. And she has made a magic so that it is always winter in Narnia- always winter, frigid, but it never gets to Christmas. And she drives about on a sledge, drawn by reindeer, with her wand in her hand and a crown on her head."

It came down pretty good too, so peaceful... and vixen even made another appearance.
