One of the queens to always come out with music and hits the mark right on with a fresh current sound, and with a danceable beat in my opinion, has always been Alaska Thunderfuck. Alaska is here yet again with Brooklyn's mainstay Kandy Muse, for this fun surprisingly poignant electro banger about the sense of isolation that's part and parcel of a drag queen's life. I love the video shows the queens in and out of drag, showing that queens do have two sides and bend the gender. This was filmed before Kandy's season aired on Drag Race.

IM BEGGING, DON'T TAKE MY MAN
How's about a funny Sunday ditty!!!
Dolly Parton's legendary "Jolene" covered by some of our favorite queens, serving iconic Dolly lerwks, among them Ginger Minij, Manila Luzon, Alaska, Bebe Zahara Ben dela Crème and Katya. And as the Mistress would sing..... "Jolene, Jolene, Jolene.. I'm begging of you.... please don't take my men."
And did Bebe not get the memo it was a Dolly Parton song and homage? I'm sorry my dear, but your up for elimination.

GINGER MINJ BRINGs THE HOUSE DOWN
Like a pack of Skittles, and the colors of the gay flag, half of the Drag Race All Stars Season 2 line-up appeared on stage at the end of June at the Trailblazers Awards for Logo. Clad in varying, but monochromatic colors of the rainbow, Ginger Minj in scarlet red, led the pack and beautifully sung I might add, I Am What I Am. I said on her season she should have won!!! Backing her up in case you don't recognize the other queens is – Phi Phi O’Hara in green, Tatianna in purple, Alaska Thunderfuck in blue, and Alyssa Edwards in yellow – Ginger sang and headed the number in tribute to the legendary and entertaining great, Harvey Fierstein. I've been meaning to post this for some time!

RUPAUL'S ALL STAR CATFIGHT
There is only one thing worst than two phenomenal queens at a show together. Try ten! Big hair, big nails, big personalities!!! I just hope they are using their Jungle Red nail lacquer. Ru outdid herself for the selection this time.So who’s going to lip-sync for their life this time around? The season is heavy with season 5 queens, a good season in my opinion, — including the reunion of the tart-tongued clique RoLaskaTox (Roxxxy Andrews, Alaska Thunderfuck, and Detox) — as well as longtime rivals Alyssa Edwards and Coco Montrese. Viewers will also get a healthy dose of laughs from season 7 comedy queens Ginger Minj and Katya, and season 6 runner-up Adore Delano will return as well. Finally, standouts from earlier seasons Phi Phi O’Hara, and Tatianna, will also take to the Drag Race stage. Most of these queens have always been top notch, but have fine tuned their style since their seasons, and sharpened those claws. I myself will be happy who ever wins, but I have to root for my girls Alaska, Roxxxy and Ginger Minj. It's about time a big girl wins damn it. I'm starting to think Ru has something against big boned gals! But Alysaa has grown on me a ton!

Who are you feeling or rooting for on the All Stars??? The only thing better would be if RuPaul ever took all the winners sometime and did a season. Could you even imagine that show?????

LATE NIGHT WITH ALASKA THUDERFUVK
"If you can pull yourself away from Grindr for two seconds..."
Alaska Thunderfuck 5000 from the planet Glamtron invaded our TV screens two years ago and now she's BECOMING of the biggest drag stars on the planet. Following the iconic singles 'Ru Girl' and 'Your Makeup Is Terrible', Alaska is finally released her debut album Anus, and it's time to get the party started. Kicking off this new album is the single 'Hieeee', a spin off her trademarked catchphrase. And how true the song is!!!! The entire song is about the proper etiquette when meeting the queens like turning on your flash. It's a laundry list of the most random things, but then we don't even get her signature"hieeee" until almost the end.
The video follows Alaska on the Battle of the Seasons tour with her fellow squirrel friends and drag queens, Adore Delano,Bianca Del Rio,Detox,Ivy Winters,Jinkx Monsoon and ex, Sharon Needless. It's so much fun to see the girls eating pizza, drinking, playing games, and just getting up to some naughty fun. Alaska continually impresses me, and I have to say that she is officially one of my favorite queens.

LATE NIGHT WITH ALSAKA THUNDERFUCK-NAILS
Since Alaska Thunderfuck has been all over the place lately and cranking out pretty good music for a queen, you would think she won her season of Drag Race!!!! I just caught her newest single and
regarding this newest release, titled -- naturally -- "Nails," Alaska says the moral of the song is: If you're not wearing nails, you're not doing drag. Which makes sense. Known in part for her long, ornate, almost claw-like nails, this fabulous queen wrote the song a while back. Definitely a portrait of a certain time in her life, she calls "Nails" "a message for young, starting-out queens to not neglect the detail of their hands when getting themselves in drag. "Drag is about the face," says Thunderfuck of this cautionary tale (so be sure your makeup is not terrible), "but the secondary thing is about the hands." And at the end she looks more amazing then I ever did see, and yet again, not a bad dance ditty!!!

LATE NIGHT...YOUR MAKE- UP IS TERRIBLE
I have always had a soft spot for Alaska Thunderfuck, even with that slow and nasal voice, but late in the summer she had released this little gem that swept the clubs, and I absolutely LOVED IT!!! The video also has a special appearance by legendary drag Mathu Andersen
Do you know how many times I've wanted to tell customers and other queens this?

Drag Race...Will it be A Monsoon Season?
It's down to the final three queens on RuPaul's Drag Race and it's going to be a close race girls! Ru announced that she wanted the Internets help in making a decision. She has a point. Season 5 has yet to define a clear winner. I will say that this season did though show the queens in their true nature more so then in the past seasons. I have seen some of these queens perform and then get on the show, and act nothing like I saw on stage, or the style would be completely different, for example Mimi Imfurst. Off the show her style is much more high glamour and she is actually funny as hell. You do you hope will win.........
Jinkx Monsoon?
Jinkx is incredibly endearing, has great comedic timing and knows how to bring the drama, but her makeup doesn't always hit the mark, which to is fine since she is what a drag queen SHOULD BE- campy!
Roxxxy Andrews?
Her double-wig stunt during the "Whip My Hair" lip sync was amazing. She consistently puts together amazing looks and hair for the runway, and can dance her ass off. However, her "strategy" of trying to psyche out Jinkx by being as mean as possible seems to be backfiring. The pageant queen's complaints last night, after performing poorly in the courtroom skit, that comedy was somehow an insult to drag were not only off-putting, but annoying as hell, but I still think she is a fabulous queen.
Alaska Thunderfuck
Alaska is also very likable and arguably one of the funniest queens in the show's history, has fabulous hair and it's impressive that she's succeeded in stepping out from Sharon Needles' shadow.
My Conclusion
While I said in my post before the race started, I was pretty sure Alaska would place top three at least, and was supporting her since she is sort of Philadelphia's home town girl, even though she is from Pittsburgh. She comes to Philly often for shows and is quite the sweetheart and so talented. I also like her style since it's close to my own. In pass seasons the queen with the most wins has taken the crown and title, but this season we have three queens with each two wins. But I think Jinkx Monsoon should have this locked, stocked, and barreled, and should start planning her drag race touring! Roxxxy is fabulous, but I don't see a pagent queen taking it, and she's not to popular in the interwebs... it's time for one of these two campy comedy queens to take the title. And I'll bet Alaska or Ivy Winters will get the Miss Congenitally Award. But I'll be happy if either Jinkx or Alaska wins! Good luck to all of you! What's your ten cents say?

The Pittsburgh Queens
Drag these days in Pennsylvania is pretty big business in Philadelphia, Harrisburg and in the steel city of Pittsburgh. Back before I hung it up, it was rare to hear of any drag scene in the steel city. At the time I do believe Harrisburg was putting the queens out. But since it's revival, don't be fooled. Pittsburgh is right up there now representing the art of drag with a bevy of beauties and glamour pusses.....filled with talents and originality. And Thanks to Miss Sharon Needles it's really on the map now. All of these queens can be seen at various clubs in the city as well as Philadelphia and other cities in Pennsylvania..........

RuPauls DragRace 5....Bring her The Girls!
What better way to start the week than with a bunch on queens? RuPauls fifth season of Drag Race is around the corner, and I for one can't wait for a regular season, after the All-Stars, which I gave up on, due to the team challenge, which I feel impeded some of the talent on the show, like Nina and Lattrice, but I'm not bitter. No, the fifth season is full of yet some real talents and personalities which have been featured right here, so you may recognize a few.
Alaska Thunderfuck, Pittsburgh
Sharon Needles’ concubine, Alaska will be the first queen whose full name can’t be said on television. I have seen her perform and met her once, and she is about as fierce as Sharon was, but with her own look and style. She will be a top contender.
Alyssa Edwards, Mesquite, TX.
In 2010 this beauty, Alyssa was forced her to give up her Miss Gay America pageant title, quite the scandal in the drag world. You think that’s gonna come up during Untucked? Hint? My sources say Yes!
Coco Montrese, Las Vegas
So Coco was the runner-up at the Miss Gay America contest, and snatched the crown when Aylssa Edwards was axed. Expect some sparks between these two Southern belles. Coco is a pretty talented queen and appears regularly at Vegas' Drink and Drag Diner.
Detox Icunt, Los Angeles
Another queen whose name will have to be bleeped out! You might remember Detox from “Chow Down,” the parody video Willam Belli made about Chick-fil-A, but she’s also appeared in a Rihanna video and recorded music with Ke$ha. So she’ll be a shoo-in at Lipsynch for Your Life. (May she never have to prove it.) And she is very hilarious, and is another of my top contenders.
Honey Mahogany, San Francisco
According to her profile, San Francisco’s first Drag Queen contestant hails from Ethiopia and took her stage name from two different shades of foundation. All I know is, with a name like Honey Mahogany, if she doesn’t do Pam Grier for The Snatch Game, it is ovah!
Ivy Winters, New York City
She’s made outfits for Manila Luzon and Lady Bunny, so you know this is one bitch who knows how to sew. She’s also a professional fire-eater, which could add to her shade-throwing, an interesting twist. Another performer I have seen, with some unusual talents.
Jade Jolie, Gainesville, FL
Generally I'd say nothing good comes out of Florida, but Jade is one of the prettier queens we’ve seen on the show I must say. Getting a Dida Ritz vibe—but, y’know, white. I'm not sure how far yet she'll go.
Jinkx Monsoon, Seattle
I'm getting a Tammie Brown vibe from this self-described Jewish narcoleptic queen from Seattle. Which means we’ll totally worship her and she’ll get sent home too quickly.
Lineysha Sparx San Juan, PR
Like the Mistress, this Puerto Rican never wears the same outfit twice. Do we dare hope for some Team Yarlexis magic? I love her wig talents, may I add. Another of my contenders.
Monica Beverly Hillz, Owensboro, KY
Her classy name aside, Monica actually hails from small town Kentucky. Is she going to be able to hold her own against them big-city queens?
Penny Tration, Cincinnati
A funny drag handle can sometimes wear thin, but it didn’t hurt Sharon Needles. We also like that Penny’s not a twig—real girls have curves!
Roxxxy Andrews, Orlando
In my email from Logo, they say in this queens profile, it calls Roxxxy “a pageant girl through and through.” Will that help or hinder her in the challenges, which are usually more out-there than donning a swimsuit and high heels. And might I add is very cute as a boy!
Serena ChaCha, Tallahassee, FL
Serena is this season’s baby, right out of art school. I hope that doesn’t mean she’ll be wearing a diaper and throwing tantrums. Actually…
Vivienne Pinay, New York City
Girlfriend hails from New York but we first saw her in a Vogue Italia piece showing queens in half-drag. Does she have what it takes? RuPaul always said Filipinas make the fiercest queens.
Who will you put your chips on —and who will sashay away?
