A morbid thought, but the truth. If something were to unexpectedly happen to me tomorrow, I can say I've had a good life so far with no complaints looking back, and plan to have many more. Five brief moments in my life so far, that I won't soon forget. I find myself often thinking back of them.
This view from the Lake Cuomo/Portofino trip.
Well, here we are, at Summer's End. Summer's end refers to the end of the summer season, which officially ends at the autumnal equinox. The autumnal equinox is when the sun is at its zenith at, or directly above, the equator. The Autumnal Queen has ascended to her throne and promises to bring with her all the autumnal delights. As for me, I'm a Summer Queen. We are already seeing the sun setting earlier, and wonderful sleeping temps at night with the windows open. Summers End is also the title of a melancholic song by John Prine, which reflects on the passing of time and the loss of precious moments. Here is to the summer of 2024 with some postcards that didn't make it into some posts. I can't complain, it was a lovely summer, and now have to look forward to some new trips coming up soon.
....Or better known as the Dick Dock!!!!
And this from one of my walk of shames.
Almost scootered over by the town's Bea Arthur impersonator,

All the years I've been going up to Ptown, this was the first time I can recall taking time to take in some art walks. Ptown has always attracted and nurtured all forms of art and artist. The light and natural, coastal beauty, on the tip of Cape Cod has inspired artist for over a century. The place is a contrast: a rugged, rural site with a vibrant town center, it simultaneously provides artist with opportunities for both solitude and socializing, with its free and open atmosphere. I loved much of the art I saw in the art associations and galleries. I feel the town's bohemian legacy continue today even, especially through its extremely vibrant queer community and from what I hear has a generous artist residency program.
