What a weekend! Wayyyyy too much eating, buckets of libations, just enough birthday revelry, and maybe one clandestine. Wonderful weather. I looked myself over real good getting up at the guesthouse yesterday, and as long as I don't feel 55 or look it, I'm happy with that!!! The display case is holding up nicely if I say so. The parade was very fun and festive, and I got the vibe from the crowd everyone seems ready for happy days again. Could it have been an omen? Granted we were in Biden Country...but still, even overhearing some people who were even republicans...can't stand this party and administration. We got back in mid evening last night, and enjoyed some pints with a bonfire.... now two days to enjoy before heading back into the rat race. Hopefully a day to get caught up at the Casa, and then one day to relax.

Fabulous mood! I'm glad you had a good time.
ReplyDeleteI like the maple leaf ghost!
ReplyDeleteInst that cute! And the easiest thing to do! It needs googly eyes!
DeleteBack from the grave? More like the dead is arisen! Which we didn't think would be till 4pm.
ReplyDeleteLove these October mood boards! Autumnal, fun, chic and yet just a tad chilling of Hallows. Love the picture of Vincent Price, Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing and David Carradine. I adored them all. I watched two chilling cult classics with Cushing yesterday.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to your beach post. We had great weather down here, and the parade looked pack as always.
Remarkably, Vincent Price and Christopher Lee were born on the same date, and Peter Cushing's birthday was the day before. The first and only time all three appeared with fellow horror star John Carradine (David's dad) was in House of the Long Shadows in 1983! Jx
DeleteWho knew? I will have to check that movie out. I have never seen it.
DeleteLUV this mood board, Maddie! It's a great lead up to All Hallows Eve, though I'm feeling a little like poor Bugs in anticipation for November 4, LOL!
ReplyDeleteI need a mood like yours. Love the gray scarf, and the chair.
ReplyDeleteThere was a chair????
DeleteI loved the chair cover!
DeleteAh, that's where I left my feather duster! Needless to say, I haven't done any dusting since my trip to Paris...
ReplyDeleteWelcome back, Maddie!
Miss Ross is definitely the scariest thing here! Welcome back, sweetie - clink, clink! Jx
ReplyDeleteThe Gays don't age. At least that's what I told my sister years ago when she asked how come I always look the same!!!
ReplyDeleteLove Diana workin' the weave!!!
I think y'all got portraits in your attics or something.
DeleteUNF! I want that cake!
ReplyDeleteAnd you don’t look 55. At ALL. It’s that joie de vivre, babes.
We the gays don’t age. We improve.
XOXO
That cake looks simply scrumptious.
ReplyDeleteSome great pictures today! I especially love the one of the lady looking in the mirror, yet it also looks like a skeleton head. Cool illusion.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great mood board. At first, I thought those were your legs and All -Stars high tops in the air?!? I just love Halloween.
ReplyDeleteHappy B-Lated Birthday and what a mood board!!! I can actually recall the dance routine from the Paul Lynde Halloween Show. Look forward to the trip post....this is, if it's clean?
ReplyDeleteI love good vintage Halloweens...and that red poof dress is stunning! Is that what you wore on your birthday?

ReplyDeleteit was a Quick Draw McGraw moment you see.....
DeleteGlad you had a great time!
ReplyDeleteMake the most of the next 5 years - I'm sure you will!!
Sx
I love the red dress! How the heck does one go to the bathroom in that thing though? Adult diapers maybe, or a humongous bladder? Things that make you go hmmm.
ReplyDeleteSo happy you had a good birthday celebration. You can hardly go wrong in Biden Country.
ReplyDeleteIf things would get back to normal around here.....
I'm glad you had a great time, but now it's time to feel like Bugs like the rest of us!
ReplyDeleteJ’adore la salle aux draperies rouges, les bougies et les perles, la dame en robe haute couture, le fantôme-feuille, Bugs Bunny et Gossamer, ainsi que le bel homme noir d’or. :)
ReplyDelete-Beau Mec à Deauville
