SEEN IN NEW HOPE

I have always loved my get-a-ways to New Hope and mourn missing it a couple times a week after living there for 25 years, with it being a very liberal area. We had a getaway last weekend to New Hope and Doylestown. New Hope is so popular because it combines a extremely bohemian vibrant arts and LGBT culture with scenic Delaware River views, historic colonial charm, a colorful, racy and historical history, storied residents past and present. and a prime location, roughly perfectly positioned between Philly and New York. It has always been famous for an art and writer's colony and still draws creatives. Its inclusivity is very important in New Hope...has a long-standing reputation as a safe, welcoming and progressive haven for the LGBT, drag, and other minorities. The sheer natural beauty of the area was first seen and appreciated by the Lenni-Lenape people so many thousands of years ago. It's also what attracted the great Pennsylvania Impressionist school of artist like Daniel Garber and Edwin Redfield, writers from the Algonquin round table, Dorothy Parker and Oscar Hammerstein were longtime residents, furniture maker George Nakashhima created and has his studio in New Hope, now run by his daughter, and has hosted a long list of singer and actors at the Bucks County Playhouse...some notables, Geoge C Scott, Bea Arthur, Helen Hayes, Betty Buckly, Elaine Stritch, Robert Redford, Hugh Jackman and too many others to mention and still continues great talent. And then there is our distant relation on my mother's side, Aaron Burr, who was the sitting Vice President at the time, fled the scene and hid out in New Hope after he stabbed Hamiliton in a duel who later died.  Then there is the natural beauty...looks like a European countryside, and all the witches, and hauntings...yes, New Hope is one of the most haunted towns too. Some scenes this weekend...

Dinner at Zoubi's...always a favorite and what a courtyard to dine in.
My dinner that night, a crabcake with corn on top and two sauces on the side with coleslaw. And yes, edible flowers. I hated to eat it it was so pretty.
Our hotel, and my breakfast one morning at a vegan restaurant.

Fonthill Castle in Doylestown.

Never tire of seeing this place. I used to live about 8 minutes from it.

An entrance to Fonthill Castle from the Woods.

The home of Bradley Cooper...minutes form my old place. To think we could have been neighbors!
And then there was our pool boy, and bartender Dan.
He moved here from Russia 15 years ago. Me OH MY! So there was that.

WEEK'S END

I don't know about you kitties, but I sure am glad it's the week end, and time to relax this weekend. And my ever faithful Lad sent me his weekly text and he cooccurred.
Him and his backside are too things I just adore. I love me some hot crossed buns!!!! So bring on the weekend.

FROM THE CANDY SHOP

This week in the Candy Shop is a real smooth and enticing sweet treat I fall across one day. Apparently this very suave and handsome Kevin Love,  is apart of a team called the Cavaliers, where he does something with a ball??? Well, I know nothing about running up a court, but have held  court, and I do know this guy has something to hold my attention. I'm sure I could host him a lovely evening at the Casa with dinner and conversation, and if he has to play and have a ball , well I have two beauties for him. Now excuse me as I go back to bed and slip under the covers to enjoy this warm and tingly feeling...…

FROM THE CANDY SHOP

Okay guys and gals, this week in the Candy Shop, I have one of my heavily guarded pleasures, but since the weather is just beautiful and has me feeling gleeful and giving, I WILL SHARE THIS EARTHLY DELIGHT WITH YOU ALL!!!  Caio Cesar!!!

This man has it, boyish, mischievous look, nice tone thin lean body, just the right amount of hair.... and those eyes to put you in a spell. Yep, Caio has it.... this handsome morsel gets my, well areas, throbbing.  To top it all off, the guy is a real sweetheart too I hear. Down to earth, friendly, fun loving and supports various charities. The final thing that makes this guy so utterly adorable is that he’s a veterinarian too. I love animals, and I donate to several animal charities, so having that love of all things furry, scaly and feathered is a definite plus in my book! Now can someone help me get out of this puddle position?

FROM THE CANDY SHOP

Ladies and Gentlemen please enjoy one of my favorite pieces of eye candy.....Matt Dallas, who is an American actor, best known for playing the title character on the ABC Family series Kyle XY. I have always had a huge sweet spot for this hunk, and he would place on my top ten list of hot McHotties easily. Did back flips when he came out. And have you seen him with his handsome husband Blue Hamilton? Well, regardless when and where he'll pop up next , I'm not sure, but he'll sure be hot. Just look at his smoldering eyes!!!!! And that smile...... Swoooooon.......

Of course, truth be told, the best place for him would be my boudoir!!!!!!

Meanwhile, The New House Boy......

I haven't quite found his niche yet at the Casa du Borghese, and what his duties will be, but he is limber and a tall glass of water.....two very nice qualities......

.....and when bored, you must admit, fills his time creatively. Tootles!
