From the Candy Shop

We have some talented candy this week! An artist from an early age, Jeremiah Brent taught himself  how to design and build furniture. It began as a simple hobby, and quickly became the foundation of a strong career path. With an artists’ eye for furniture, craftsmanship and style, he began his interior and furniture design firm.Jeremiah has since worked with many celebrity and private clients, creating everything from home interiors to multi-million dollar nightclubs. In 2011 Jeremiah joined Rachel Zoe to explore the world of fashion and fashion design, allowing him to see the world of interior design from yet another perspective. He realized that his passion for interior design could incorporate the influences of high fashion, started his next firm: JEREMIAH BRENT DESIGN.  With an eye for detail and a focus on creating spaces that look curated and collected, the results always reflect his sharp sense of style and eye for beauty as well as each client's individual personality and lifestyle. I first got acquainted him when he designed Rachel Zoe's shop for our flagship store in Santa Monica, and then went into our flagship store in New York City. After that, he was on season 4 of the Rachel Zoe Project where it hit me just how handsome he was! Some sweet eye candy for sure. Hmmmmm, just like me, fashion stylist and interior design background?????? You can also check out his newly launched blog , in the sidebar for all the inside scoop, and design details and tips, which will launch shortly. And be sure to check out the hottie on the upcoming season of Rachel Zoe.

And here is some of the hot designers interiors. I love the cleaniness of the interiors and the mix of old and new, with a add in of some natural elements. Very close to my own style, although I do like a pinch more eccentric touches, but none the less, very beautiful.

Did I also mention he is the new boyfriend of Nate Berkus?

A Day with Another Stylist-Rachel!

I would love to say I did something fun this weekend, but all I did was a little shopping and had dinner with a friend so far. And I'm also proud to say I didn't even emerge from the boudoir till around 1:30pm!!! It was only a four day week, but I still worked 48 hours and was exhausted!!! There is much work currently as many of the fall fashion receipts are coming and the store layouts are changing and many store events will be coming fast and furiously at the Mistress. This week my company sent many visual stylist to descend upon our New York location to ready the store and make fashion show preparations for the arrival and un-veiling of the Rachel Zoe Collection of clothing, so a huge lauch party was under way. I was also curious to see what the Zoe would be like, she herself being a very talented stylist. I do believe she seems not anything like on the reality show. And I found her line of clothes to really reflect her personal style. The collection is very luxe. I was shocked to see she wasn't old school though and wore white after Labor Day! I'll have to send her a well worded email on this subject. It was a lot of stressful work, but it was very fun to be chosen to go and have some fun at the launch, and even installing the window that reflects the collection. And it like literally was. not. a .disaster. And even after a few glasses of champagne and ogling the cute waiters, I managed not to make a spectacle. mistress and company even had time to hit Soho one night at the Mercer. You can read about that over at Gals About Town. Now excuse me whilst I go enjoy another cock-a-tail with my guest. Tootles!
