A Froggy Theme Post

I saw this over at a blog I read by fellow blogger Mr Bluehaunts blog, The Haunted Lamp and thought Froggy would love the story. Very intresting.

For Nealy 90 years the only testament to the existence of the Bornean rainbow toad -pictured above - were a few sketches of the weird spindly legged creature penned in 1924 by the European explorers who discovered it. Since then the animal had never been seen again, leading many to believe it had become extinct, and the IUCN placed it on their list of the 'World's Top 10 Most Wanted Lost Frogs'. But after an 87-year wait, the psychedelic amphibian (Ansonia latidisca) has been spotted once more -and this time photographed in exquisite detail. According to Conservation International, which released the images this week, three of the toads were discovered last year in the dense forest of the Malaysian state of Sarawak.

While away on vacation, one of my good girlfriends sent me this picture and couldn't resist sharing it with ya! I am not fond of frogs mind ya, but I have to admit the little amphibious critter is kinda cute. So the picture is for Frogponder!

The Mistress is still trying to get her act together for her vacation posts and was away, yet again, this weekend after being back for a day and half for a gay Illuminations camping weekend. Nothing like seeing a bunch of lit queens lighting up their elaborate sites with all and any kind of lighting. Everything from candles to Chinese lanterns to string lighting. It is always so beautiful to see. The only problem was the Mistress had a wee bit of the spirit and almost became a flaming queen as I used just a touch too much Aqua-Net! But anywho, I should have some vacation post very soon. And thanks Miranda for the lovely pictures. Tootles!
