I''ll be out for the week and will return soon. Today my nervousness and anxiety come to a head as I go in for a hours long oral surgery. Most from issues from a car accident years ago, now showing some results from it, making some teeth a bit mobile, and other dental issues in the back teeth, I broke one in half. I opted for all implants. I must be nuts!!!! Having never been under anesthesia or ever had any kind of surgery...for anything...I'm extremely nervous. I don't know when I'll be up to blogging or how the pain will be after...but I'll return soon. Unless I pull a Joan Rivers on the table! Just remember, I adore you all!
In lieu of recovery flowers, send gin instead!
💋

Good Luck. I hate anesthesia. I work with a gent who had all implants, you're in for quite the adventure.
ReplyDeleteOf course Mr. My blogs, we're all just a bunch of dumb tree stumps, we'll all click on that link and join you in making 1K a day. And while we're believing that, let's admit that the sun rises in the west, pigs can fly(although one does in Air Force 1), and Pete Hegseth is over-qualified for his jog as Secretary Of Defense and not guilty at all of numerous war crimes. Your time is wasted here, go scam somewhere else.
DeleteExcellent response.
DeleteSame with my daughter Dave, wait an aftercare plan she had.
DeleteYou'll be fine - look at me, I've had more ops than hot dinners and I'm still skipping around!
ReplyDeleteOh my stars. What a trooper you are! Hope all goes well. I shall order the gin tanker immediately. Sending hugs. Xx
ReplyDeleteSending you all the positive healing vibes I can muster up.
ReplyDeleteGin should help dull the ache in the jawbones.
I've had a few implants over time. They will hurt like hell for a few days. Please do everything they tell you to do for aftercare and good luck with everything.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for a good surgery and speedy healing! Enjoy all the soup and gin. Let the houseboys pamper you!
ReplyDeleteOuch! All the hugs, sweetie!
ReplyDeleteWishing you an easy operation, fast healing, and a sexy surgeon with cakes that knocks your socks off.
ReplyDeleteGood luck, sweetie! Think "Julia Roberts smile". Or maybe not. She looks a bit like the Cheshire Cat... Jx
ReplyDeleteHopes for a successful surgery and an unremarkable recovery.
ReplyDeleteWill Jay
Cheers to a successful dentistry!!!
ReplyDeleteIf you lived here, I'd send you to my Dr. Owen, and hunk of beef with a gentle touch!!
I wish for you a speedy recovery. (Unfortunately, I drank the gin I got for you.)
ReplyDeleteOMG babes!
ReplyDeleteSending good vibes and wishing you a prompt recovery. Surgery of any kind is very scary, but you're a tough bird.
*smooches*
XOXO
You'll be missed.
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed that you've never had any kind of surgery. I began my career on the surgeon's table at six years old with an appendectomy. I've had a few other kinds of surgery since then and have survived somehow. I hope they give you some good drugs, but please don't take painkillers with gin! I'll be thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
You will do FINE. Anasthesia is the cats' tits. Ask for the good stuff! And like Robzilla said: Absolutely do all the aftercare stuff the dentist tells you to do. It's the difference between suffering for weeks and getting better fast. Some of the advice sounds stupid, like 'don't drink anything through a straw' but the mouth is a strange and mysterious place. The way it heals makes no rational sense. The dentist knows best in this case. Take it easy, enjoy your painkillers, stay hydrated (!!!!) and let the cabana boys take care of the rest. XOO
ReplyDeleteHopfully he as watched Valley of the Dolls enough times....

Best of luck with your oral surgery, Maddie. I'm sure everything will go smoothly as long as the surgeon prescribe Tylenol 2 (with codeine) and plenty of ice cream, pudding and smoothies!
