"We'll always be bosom buddies,
friends,sisters,and pals,
We'll always be bosom buddies,
If life should reject you,
there's me to protect you.
Just turn to your bosom buddy,
for aid and affection,
for help and protection,
for loyalty, love and for sooth.
Remember, that who else but a bosom buddy,
will sit down and level,
and give you the devil,
will sit down and tell you the whole stinkin truth!"
Well my partner yesterday, certainly has bigger bosoms than I! On a most glorious sunny autumn day yesterday I met up with the ever fiesty and fabulous Anne Marie, from From My Brain to My Mouth Fame, in Doylestown for a long overdue ladies who lunch day. Upon Anne Marie arriving by rail, I didn't see her at first, but then indeed did see her. I had commented I didn't know where she got off. She immediately said, " You said get off!" I knew then it was going to be a fun afternoon, and we headed to our haunt,Maxwells on Main. Many say blogging is useless, and many users of other social media say its passe'. I disagree. I feel there is way more sense of community feel, and you can really meet some swell people. On and off the net. I love all my bloggers and have met many in person. Yesterday was my second get together with Anne Marie. And is she ever funny as hell. Yet again we had to be reminded to finally order. You can guess the gin was going down like mothers milk. We had such a blast, talking of meeting other bloggers, sex, politics, men, sex again, our daily lives, shower heads, pets, our Thanksgiving plans, and even talked of maybe touring the Blue Coat Gin distillery in Fishtown, a neighborhood area of Philadelphia. Although Anne Marie looked a bit concerned going to a gin distillery with Tallulah Bankhead. I do believe she worries I'd sample the place dry! And poor Anne Marie even saw me get verklempt, when the very adorable general manager caught my eye.!!!! Was he ever handsome. I have no idea just how many gins I had but I know I had a very good time, and I wasn't even in bed! The doll even brought me a though gift of vegan hand carved body bars, she thought the houseboys and I may enjoy those , some lovely bath soaps from Maine and tasty peach cinnamon candy drops. I know a good party trick for those. Like all good things the day started to wrap up after a three hour lunch. And don't think for moment we didn't sing Bosom Buddies down the street either! When we left we hugged, and I can't recollect, but I think she even grabbed my ass!!!
Thank you for a lovely afternoon Anne Marie and the thoughtful treats. And my advice is to never discount blogging. It truly is a wonderful community of people.
Cheers Darlings!
