As we all know, and I love to hate, the busiest shopping day is here upon us! But so is sweater season. And if you know me , you know I love me a sweater!!! One of the few things about the cold tempts I enjoy. Luckily I worked today , but only pre production support before the store opened. Maybe I'll go get me a few sweaters on special. But they must have the right fit of course, something close to my body, that hugs me, and keeps me warm..........

Day After Thanksgiving......
.....I just couldn't bare the thought of the Aunt killing yet another noble bird. So guess who has a new pet named Cecil?
Meanwhile, isn't my ensemble adorable?

The Thanksgiving Table
I love these natural turkeys. How cute and I love the natural elements. I mean to get these every year for the kitchen and forget every year to catch them. Oh well, no Tom's in my life this year, I already have my hands full of men!
Are you as excited as I am that Thanksgiving Day is almost here? I'm just about packed to head home for a couple days, and I'm already salivating for my Aunt's dinner! It's my favorite right next to her Christmas Eve dinner of Roast Beef with Yorkshire Pudding. I know I’ve said this before, but traditionally, Thanksgiving has just felt like a stop on the way to Christmas, but now, I really enjoy Thanksgiving even more than Christmas these days. I think it is so fitting to go into the Christmas season with our hearts and minds set on what we’re thankful for, which for myself is health, wonderful family and friends, and all of you dear readers, who tickle me with your comments! Thanksgiving also got me to thinking of all the different ways people set their tables for this big day of thanks. These are some of my favorites for the day.........
White is so my thing and the texture on these just makes me happy. What a beautiful table they would inspire!
Now this will be more my Aunt's style. Clean and simple with some sparse antiques amongst a few decor pieces. Were more about the good food and the fine wine!!!
So beautiful and yet so fun!
Saw this from Pottery Barn and love it so. It's their white turkey.I have loved this for quite a while, but can’t really justify the cost on this one. Would make a great center piece though,no?
This turkey platter is perfect to serve the centerpiece of your Thanksgiving meal.
But, to me, whether the table is simple or swanky, it really all about the food and the Grand Bird!!!
Thanksgiving dinner is probably my favorite dinner of the year, with such fond memories of past years brought back from the wonderful aromas of the cooking that goes on all day. I best get new waist sizes in jeans now. How do you set your dinner table of Thanksgiving? Simple, or do you go all out? Well, I must finish packing, but will be back at weeks end with some questions to answer for my dear Tabitha, from Bourbon and Pearls, till then- Have a Wonderful Thanksgiving!!!!
